It's an amazing community set in beautiful nature with an experience of how modernization goes along with the local communities. Gustavo received me with much excitement and showed me around places, took me on a hike in the jungle, taught me many things and his hospitality is just 10/10! This place is not for every tourist, but for travelers seeking an authentic experience of the Amazonas and it's people over comfort in one of the most amazing and beautiful natural setting. Some tips to make your experience better - 1. Bring your own water. Resources are hard to get to the community and it's good to respect that. 2. Be ready to adjust around a few things depending on the situation - eg: no electricity at night, makeshift showers etc. Treat the whole stay as an experience rather than a stay and these things become secondary. 3. If you just sit by the river for a while (with your repellent on of course) - you'll see a lot of dolphins! 4. As with any other nature place, always check your shoes, bed, toilet seat etc before using :) 5. Ask Gustavo for your own custom tours and experiences around and he'll happily make it happen at a great price, with his more than 15 years of experience as a guide!

Martin and the staff are very friendly, and they really try to help you as much as they can. I loved the location of the lodge which gives you a genuine experience of being in the middle of the jungle. The cabins are comfortable enough and blend perfectly with the surroundings.

I had an amazing time at this hostel, it's in such a beautiful location and the staff are really friendly and helpful. It's a great place to go and relax in the jungle and also to do activities. I did an overnight stay in the jungle and it didn't cost much at all and the tour guide was amazing. Highly highly recommended this place

The facilities are amazing. The food is good. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I loved every minute of my stay. It was so easy, they set up all the transportation and helped set up activities. A wonderful place to stay!

Everything was excellent. The staff was incredibly kind and responsive. They were very helpful in helping us organize our itinerary and make sure we were able to do everything we wanted. Tour guides we booked through the property were friendly and knowledgeable. The property and the community of Mocagua were amazing and very comfortable. We appreciated the experience of staying within a community so dedicated to sustainable tourism and conservation projects. The food was also excellent.

The experience at Mu'u exceeded my expectations. The location is in the middle of the jungle - when I visited in January it took 2 hours of boat ride from Leticia to Mocagua, then another 45 mins in a motor boat up a creek, and 15 mins walking in the deep jungle. Times may change according to the water level. The rooms are clean, big and simple. There is no electricity, no internet, no signal. Only candlelight, the sound of the jungle and the rain. This is a big part of why I chose to stay here. Food is delicious, mostly organic and grown on premises. The host Jhon and his family are extremely nice and welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful in tailoring your experience to your needs. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you are looking for an immersive jungle experience.
