It is a 10minute walk from the main plaza, which allows you to be just outside the town center and feel a little more in the mountains, a 20minute walk to a really nice river. 100% reccomend!

Best of all is the wonderful town of Mongui. It’s really a magical place, and one of the absolute highlights of a two week journey through Colombia. Worth the trip.

Dora told us it was our home in Colombia and it was her kindness and hospitality that made us feel that way. She organised an amazing guide for the hike up to the Paramo de Oceta and was so kind with me as I practised my terrible Spanish! This was our favourite place to stay in Colombia.
