It's an amazing place overall. Ocean is a few meters away, nature is wild and abundant. Rooms are simple, but well organized and good. Yussi cooks very well, plus is very open and supportive with initiatives we could have, ready to share her knowledge and provide whatever was needed. Beach is great for children as the entrance into the sea is not steep and even those that are just learning to swim can do that with confidence. We received detailed information from the owner in advance and all went exactly as it was described. Logistics help, information - everything was provided on time.

We came to spend our anniversary there and we didn't make a mistake! It was wonderful. We had prepared nice dinner at the beach with bomfire which really surprised us. Waterfall Nabuga which we booked with the hotel is definitely highlight, as well as walk in the jungle. Place was amazing, as well as our boat man and Luisa. Thank you!!!

Jardín Botánico is an amazing place to spend a few days. The setting is incredible, such a beautiful beach with views across the bay to the forested hills. The rooms are great, particularly the cabins tucked back in the forest, with great privacy. The best thing is that staff though, all of whom are warm and welcoming and who treat you like part of the family while you’re there. Angeli is a great chef and accommodated us with delicious and creative vegetarian and vegan meals throughout our 6 day stay. We were hosted by Tucán, who taught us a great deal about the Jardin Botanico project and the important conservation work they’re doing. He also explained a lot about the local customs and traditions, and was generally super helpful and informative at all times - he even lent us binoculars when I broke mine. Also shout out to Jose, who drives the boat among other things - such a legend! The excursions into the jungle were great too, although be warned that the trails are quite wild. Wonderful to see monkeys and so many beautiful birds. Mainly it was just great to hang out in the hammocks by the beach and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Cilantro the cat is also worth meeting.

The place is amazing, you can reach it within a quarter of an hour by boat from the town of Bahia Solano and it is absolutely worth it to enjoy the tranquility of the bay, the sea, spot whales and listen to their song. The transport from the airport to the hotel is very well organized, the owner himself took care of organizing everything and made sure that everything went well at every step. The staff is really helpful, kind and available at any time. The food is simple but very good and whenever it is available, you can enjoy the excellent fresh fish of the day. The location is the strong point of Choibana. Far from the town of Bahia Solano, it is like having a private beach, far from the light pollution to see the stars at night and far from the noise of the many boats crossing the bay, it is literally possible to immerse your head underwater and hear the whales singing. With a bit of luck the whales enter the bay and it is possible to spot them from the window of the room (keep in mind that not all rooms overlook the sea).

We had an amazing time at Posada Madre Tierra, and would recommend anyone to stay here. We speak very little Spanish but Carlos and Teresa were incredibly kind and generous and made us feel part of the family. The homemade food and juices were simply incredible, we left with full hearts and stomachs! All of the pets were very cute too, it was so wonderful to experience a home that truly cared about their natural environment around them and learn about the history and surroundings. Staying here was a true highlight of our South America trip.
