The view over the village sold this place to me. Chilling in the hammock there was definitely a highlight. Beds are comfy too. There is enough space to securely store your bike if you got one.

Such an incredible place to Relax with incredible Hosts. Everything is amazing from the rooms to the Garden affording the possibility of true relaxation! Hosts made me food as well, so I didn't have to go to town and could stay in house. The views, hospitality and rooms can't be beat. Huge value for dollar.

Best place, best family in Colombia 🩵 I have no words to express how kind Mery and Manuel are... I felt right at home, like family! I had booked for one night, and ended up staying a week because I didn't want to leave. The rooms are clean and comfortable, Mery's cooking is exceptional and inexpensive—the best food I've eaten in Colombia!! She cooks with so much love and happily accommodates vegetarians. Manuel is one of the national park's certified guides, so I was able to do the treks in the national park very easily because they offered me a package including the night, the hike to Laguna Grande, transportation, and meals for a great price! During the hike, I had trouble keeping up with the group, but Emmanuelle was with me from behind until the end, encouraging me and giving me advice to help me succeed. He was exceptionally kind despite my difficulties. Afterwards, I wanted to relax, and I was able to spend a few days in the magnificent cabins they have in the mountains. I stayed there for a week because I felt so at home! The cabins are very comfortable with an exceptional view of the valley and the village, a kitchen for cooking, and Wi-Fi! A true haven of peace and comfort, with a shower and hot water. Since I extended my stay at the cabin, Mery and Manuel brought me delicious meals and groceries so I could stay the whole week, and all without asking for money! They are exceptionally kind. We talked a lot and shared about their lives and about life in Colombia. I'm leaving El Cocuy with the feeling of having found a family in Colombia, and I already miss them. Thank you so much for everything. My best week of travel in Colombia. Gracias familia 🩵🩵🩵
