Almost everything was perfect. The location is unbeatable, and quiet too, specially during the night. Great sleeping quality, cozy apartment, exceptionally well equiped kitchen, all features are available. The apartment is far nicer than it looks in the pictures. Very comfortable, everything designed and thought to offer the perfect stay. Even the little details, like, the blanket on the couch, the warm bedside table lamps, the wonderful heating system. Early checkin was conceded which was a great help. Overall, I loved the stay.

We stayed at Charlie a total of 7 nights although our visit was broken up. The hosts went out of their way to assist us with a scheduling problem - they were exceptionally helpful. The apartment is just off the main square on the third floor of a historic building. The apartment is lovely, with a big, comfortable kitchen which lets onto a large terrace. It is clean and modern. We look forward to staying at Charlie again if we visit Cheb.

This is a very fine, comfortable hotel, just basically next door to the big Aquaforum Complex. The room was comfortable and well decorated, making you feel at home. Comfortable bed, good bathroom and shower. Quiet location. Breakfast was excellent, fresh, broad selection, everything freshly made and served with heart. You get a dedicated table, which makes you feel welcome and at home. Staff are very kind, attentive and helpful. Wifi is very good. There is also a comfortable seating area on the corridor. The main pedestrian street with shops, restaurants etc. is about a 5 min. walk away, including to the mineral spring water source in a very nicely decorated historic pavilion. The Aquaforum train station is also only about a 5 min. walk. Overall very good value for money for FL, where some hotel prices can go rather high, though basically in the same location central location.

Not our first visit, but still always new things to see. Some places are a little shabby as a lot are in city ownership, so probably there is an issue with financing - but it is a more honest approach than tarting the buildings up from the outside and leaving them empty because the rent is too high. The city is compact, so it´s best to find parking at one of the shopping malls near the centre and walk the few minutes to the town square. Lots of little courtyards hidden among the buildings. Plenty of choices for eateries and cafés.

I visited Cheb for the day 35 years ago, and the difference...

I visited Cheb for the day 35 years ago, and the difference now is like black and white. I could hardly recognise the place, it is so clean and modernised. It seems extremely safe to wander around in, tasty food from the many restaurants which are good value for money. The people I met are very friendly and easy-going. It's a very relaxing place and I look forward to returning.

Such a stunning town!!

Such a stunning town!! A beautiful, colourful square is flanked by a river, beautiful botanic gardens and historic castle walls. There are plenty of cafes and pubs where you can sit, soak up the summer atmosphere and try local specialties. The town is where you change trains between Barvaria and Prague so it's definitely worth stopping over for a night or two, if you're in the area.

Cheb is a town with a fascinating history and a main square...

Cheb is a town with a fascinating history and a main square (commemorating King John of Podebrad) that has buildings dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries. Check out particularly the houses at the far end of the square and read their history. It's a varied and interesting street scene. The main church at the far end of the square is Romanesque in origin but parts were destroyed in the war. As always in central Europe some buildings suffered in the various wars in the 16th and 17th centuries. Some buildings are typical of the Art Nouveau/secession style and have been well restored. We were really glad to have visited this part of Sudetenland - now ,of course thoroughly Czech even if some people do still speak some German. Restaurants weren't particularly memorable but the beer (as always!) good. Always make sure you arrive at a restaurant by 7.30 latest: most close at 8.00

Medieval town with very nice city center.

Medieval town with very nice city center. You can visit Cheb castle, town's museum (spent 3 hours there!), retro museum, multiple churches and monasteries or you can tak a train and in few minutes you're in bath city of Františkovy Lázně, or SOOS. Lot of castles and castle ruins around and if you get bored by western Bohemia, you can visit Germany, as border of tone throw far.

Very hard to find, even with Google Maps. This hotel is at the end of a residential street. You expect to see more city. The breakfast starts at 07:30 and not before, which is "no way" when you travel for business.
