Pension Pod věží is located right in the center of Kolín, just 328 feet from the Karlovo namesti main square, and offers you colorfully styled rooms with free Wi-Fi, a café and a spa area. The hotel is located in the very center of Kolin, it only takes a minute to reach the beautiful main square; the train station is 10-15 min walk from the place, too - very convenient! Our room at the upper floor was lovely and had a direct access to the terrace on the roof. We haven't tried breakfast but had coffee couple of times and it was perfectly made and served. The lady at the reception was super helpful; we had a problem with our car and she contacted a place where they could fix it; sorry, we didn't ask for the name but you know who you are! Thanks again! ; )
Located in Kolin’s Jewish district, Pension Harmonie is just a 4-minute walk from the city center. The local cinema, aqua park and wellness center can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Comfy and conveniently placed, private parking, nice staff & breakfast.
Elf is located in Kolín. The apartment, set in a building dating from 2017, provides free WiFi. The 1-bedroom apartment is equipped with a kitchen with an oven and a bathroom with a bath. We were looking for a base for walks and trips around. And we found a perfect one. Host was friendly and helpful. Parking is safe and easy. The room is big and light, everything is new, well thought through and perfectly functioning. We could even wash our cloths (which we did not), cook, bake... You really get a nice, comfortable, modern little flat. So if you are on business trip to Kolín, want to make a trip to Kutná Hora, but stay in a more quite place, yet with a good atmosphere, this is a good choice.
Lovely little place not far from Prague! Perfect for high season like Christmas/New Years time - you can get a reasonably priced accomodation there and escape the toursitic crowds; yet it only takes 35 min by train to go to Prague. Would also work great as a main destination, two days would be perfectly enough to explore the place. Quite a few interesting art noveau buildings; impressive cathedral; baroque church with an ancient cemetery nearby (was closed when I visited the place, unfortunately); great and not at all expensive restaurants in the main square; beautiful view of the Laba river; pretty city park... Quiet and peaceful place!
This is a very small town with few hidden gems. The highlight was the Jewish graveyard, you can get the key from the information Center. The large church in the center is also great, but only open for service during the winter months. I would have been happy spending a few hours here and staying in Kutna Hora.
Café Interier Tradice1894 Highly rated family stylish Café running own sweet bakery. City centre. Air conditioned. Must see. 200 feet from 13th century St. Bartholomew's Cathedral Close to Jewish Synagogue - outside Prague, the oldest and most valuable monument of its kind in the Czech Republic
Very beautiful, relaxing, historical town. Would like to come back again!recommend: church of st.Bartolomey. Kostnica was closed for our bad luck. On weekend everything is closed. Couldn't get any souvenirs ((( nice restaurant Lavande. We went by train which is available every 20 min. And from train station by taxi. All Kolin u can ride in 69kr. Few can speaks English. To see in Kolin: Main Church, Museum, former synagoge. Best restaurant in town: Cafe Siesta (Legerova 183) Kolin is a good location for exploring central Bohemia; very good public transport connections. Walking and bycicling along Labe (Elbe) river
