The shower is nice and it is in the room. The price is very good and fair. But reserve online sometimes the reception increases the price when you ask them to reserve and and pay at the desk. But book online on booking.com because there is no payment needed and you can pay at the property without any reservation fee or credit card detail.

We had a triple room with a single bathroom, all of which were comfortable. The onsite bar with some dinner options was a lifesaver when we came back late one night with no desire to find someplace else to eat. The staff was always very helpful. The location was very convenient to the train station and the city center. We were in Aachen to attend the CHIO Aachen horse show as spectators.

This was our first time staying in a European hotel and it was lovely! The room was cozy but very comfortable. The beds were soft and had two pillows each. There was no air conditioning but once we figured out how the windows worked and turned on the fan the temperature was very pleasant. The bathroom was nice, and the room was quiet. The location was perfect. Very close to parking and to the Altstadt with its Big Square full of restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was extra, but it was amazing and there was also a lovely little bakery just around the corner if you wanted something smaller. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff. They were very helpful as you will see if you read my additional comments.

A political center and favorite residence of Charlemagne, Aachen is located in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region. A spa town since Ancient Roman times, it has some of the hottest springs in Europe. Its Old Town keeps important architectonic jewels, like the Cathedral ordered by Charlemagne in 786, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With a unique mix of styles, the Cathedral is the final resting place for Charlemagne’s remains, and served as coronation church for 30 German kings and 12 queens. Guesthouses and hotels in Aachen’s historic center are a romantic way of enjoying the city.
The RWTH University is one of the country’s "Universities of Excellence", part of the technologic profile of a city that is regarded as one of the most innovative in Germany. In fact, a large number of Aachen hotels have congress facilities.
It is located 40 miles from Cologne and 24 miles from Maastricht/Aachen Airport. Connections to major European capitals are available from the central train station, while several hotels nearby will help you to avoid the last-minute rush.
Whether you want to relax in the baths or come to town for a lecture, don’t miss the Aachen accommodations deals available on Booking.com!
Aachen's cathedral and its treasury are a European must-see!
Aachen's cathedral and its treasury are a European must-see! Not very big, but extraordinary, the architecture (the heart being octagonal and painted in Byzantine style) unlike most cathedrals. The town centre is charming, as far as the medieval houses are concerned. Unfortunately, the old centre is mixed with after-war-architecture (WW II took its toll, I guess), which makes the rest of the centre not really a must if you intend to discover beautiful Germany. But for the sake of the cathedral (take a guided tour to see the throne and the tomb of Charlemagne) and the treasury, a stop-over in Aachen for one or two days is highly recommended.

Great city, many places to visit and also shopping, the people are friendlier than in other norther german cities, they are very easy going and helpful (being close to border with BE and NL, makes them really amicable and flexible). Love the atmosphere and the options for cultural visits as well !

The thermal spa at Carolus Thermen should not be missed. you can spend a long relaxing time there and was great value.
Aarchen was almost completely destroyed by World War Two bombing, so there is not a lot of the old town left, but what there is and has been reconstructed is delightful with lots of timbered buildings housing independent shops, bars and restaurants, The ancient cathedral shouldn't be missed. It is quire awesome. The Centre Charlemagne was disappointing or us with little information in English.

Everyone has their own views, but this hotel is charging too much for what is available. Nothing free except coffee and kettle in the room. Aachen is a tiny old town with a vast city built around it.nice restaurants and cafes, no dearer than here. No English speaking tours available. Which is a shame, nothing offered by the hotel. Take a good comfy boots/ trainers, cobbled streets. I wouldn't visit again. It was very easy to drive to the hotel but really difficult to get out of aachen, no street signs or directions. Sat nav or Google maps didn't work until we got to the motorway.
I loved the room, it was spacious, and nice, with a balcony. I really enjoyed it. And big windows! The breakfast was very good. And the greatest was the staff in this hotel, everybody was so nice, helpful, always with a smile, talking to you, I loved this atmosphere. It was not a feeling of the hotel, but friends that you are visiting. I like these vibes. And the location is wonderful because it is in the city centre, next to the old town, so everything is very close.
Breakfast provided is value for money.
Its location of 2 minutes walk away (just across the road) from Aachen Hauptbahnhof (main station) is super convenient for train travel.
Walking to the city centre is around 10-15 minutes walk. Bus stop is nearby with many routes.
Room is clean is decent.
Lighting inside the room is bright and proper.
There are several value for money restaurants nearby.
Breakfast was very good, well presented and with a good variety on offer.
Staff were friendly, helpful and multitasking. Rooms clean, fridge and safety box was a bonus, however a kettle was missing. There’s a direct and quick bus route into the city centre if Aachen. (Bus stop around the corner)
Good value for money. Right in the city centre of Aachen with everything you may need. Pillows a bit small but the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean.
