I was able to rent a e bike at the harbor landing and really enjoyed the bike paths that I rode on . Nice and flat area with bike paths separate from vehicle traffic for the most part .. I would have liked some more time to ride longer distances and explore more areas .. weather was good too..

We liked this friendly,bustling town.

We liked this friendly,bustling town. The haven was nice,and the boat trip along the canal very pleasant. We found some very reasonably priced good restaurants. Nice market,particularly the fish stall.We tries smoked trout and smoked eel.Delicious.. The Stadt Museum was excellent,and beautifully ,sensitively and intelligently curated. We spent a lot of time in there,and some of the artefacts,for example,from bourgeois families in C19th Aurich very engaging.Modern history handled excellently,too.

A nice but small town in the middle of nowhere and close to...

A nice but small town in the middle of nowhere and close to the coast. The city wasn't new to me as i was born and raised up there. So no tourist visit but for visiting family and friends. Of course the city has changed as all cities do. If you wanna enjoy nature, and rural life (no big city lights at night but darkness and silence), you will like it for escaping from a big city. If you expect lots of party and fun it's the wrong choice. At all worth to see for a few days!

We had a lovely clean appartment with a nice view over the pleasure boats harbour, next to a dog walking park and a nice cafe Hafenkiste. Free parking, walking distance to the centre of Aurich. Kitchen with a starter Set for the dishwasher and senseo coffee machine.

Friendly staff at breakfast and checkout. A good breakfast. The hotel restaurant being closed resulted in us finding an excellent Italian restaurant in town. The only place to lock up bikes was to a drainpipe in the garden.
