The team at Wanders were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Theodore went over and above the expectations of any hotelier to ensure I made my train helping me get to the station in plenty of time. The breakfast was typically German with cold meats,cheese plus boiled eggs etc so it was good for the size of the hotel,the young lady serving us very friendly and helpful too, It was very nice to have an on-site car park behind the hotel

My first Question on my trip was ‘Is there a place to safely store my bycycle’ and here we had a firm yes. The young man at reception was welcoming (and generous enough to tolerate my English only questions). A nice room with all the facilities one would expect. I was able to order an evening meal in the delightful beer garden. Food was excellent and I enjoyed my first fine German beer as the sun set in the west. Colour me happy. Breakfast? Well I can only describe this as sumptuous. A feast that set me up for a day's cycle ride. As a cyclist I was pleased to see an Aldi supermarket a few doors from the hotel which allowed me to purchase supplies for a picnic. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to a few restaurants and a cinema that is only 150 metres away, there is also a supermarket around the corner, unfortunately the Sky lounge restaurant where you get your breakfast doesn't open at night anymore, we were looking forward to eating there and it still says that it's open on google but it's not, I think they cater for functions there and corporate events, not for hotel guests who want to eat at night. However, the breakfast is very good with a cooked meal if you would like it, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages......plenty of choice for the buffet style breakfast with meats, cheeses and fresh breads, (no yoghurt) which is a little odd, coffee and orange juice along with plenty of alternative choices. The rooms are very clean and spacious for the money €119.00 for 2 nights including breakfast (€59.50c per night) is a fantastic deal and very good value for money in the off season, the staff at the hotel are very friendly and go out of their way to help you when required, they make the hotel what it is and should be commended for that. There is also plenty of free secure parking at the hotel and cctv to go along with that so rest assured you won't be charged on top of your stay for the car parking like a lot of unscrupulous hotels do. (It makes a difference) and it's appreciated. We will most certainly be booking again and can't understand why this hotel does not have a higher rating, you can pay a lot more for far lower standards elsewhere and this place is a little gem.

The apartment is on the second floor (no lift) with private parking outside the door. Acess via a key code / box. The fireplace was amazing. Wood was provided for one evening out of our two booked.
