Very authentic place. Nothing fancy but everything was good. Room was big and clean, bathroom was fully fonctional, breakfast buffet was good, staff was nice. It looks like a family business and has an old-fashioned charm

We booked an apartment on the top floor. It was very modern and spacious, 2 twin bedrooms, large lounge, 2 bathrooms, balcony with great views. There is a lift up to the 5th floor. Location could not be much better with bars and restaurants just a few hundred metres away, breakfast was great. It had off street parking at the front

The whole house was very peaceful. I liked the room were you could make tea or coffee and that there was a small library. I also liked getting the help to find locations and the friendliness of the owner.

Quiet and serene. The rooms were clean and well stocked -although a private coffee pot would have been nice. The towel warmer was wonderful. The views were incredible. The staff were all professional, helpful and friendly. A mid January visit means most of the neighboring towns were resting after the Christmas bustle. It took some searching to find shops that were open. We had a wonderful 3 night stay and would definitely recommend it.

Waldeck is a lovely old town with a beautiful castle/schloss...

Waldeck is a lovely old town with a beautiful castle/schloss on the hill top overlooking the edersee. The wildtierpark is definitely worth a visit. Only €6 entry and lots to see. The bird show is at 11:00 and 15:00 and very informative with beautiful local birds of prey and owls. Bring drinks and snacks as the cafe is outside of the park itself
