We didn't realize this is one of the Relais & Châteaux hotels before we arrive, and we're totally satisfied after arrival. Pretty nice holiday getaway hotel with good location, view, facility and friendly staff. There is a gift riesling in the room(yes of course, this is Geisenheim, riesling is the reason that brought us here), and it is a pretty tasty one. The hotel has a fine restaurant attached to it, but we didn't have a chance to try due to reservation issues.

Quiet and serene. The rooms were clean and well stocked -although a private coffee pot would have been nice. The towel warmer was wonderful. The views were incredible. The staff were all professional, helpful and friendly. A mid January visit means most of the neighboring towns were resting after the Christmas bustle. It took some searching to find shops that were open. We had a wonderful 3 night stay and would definitely recommend it.

I was unable to go to the "Old Town" due to unauthorized...

I was unable to go to the "Old Town" due to unauthorized people on the train tracks, which delayed the S-Bahn for over an hour. It was also recommended to me that I NOT go to the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof due to high theft, drug, and prostitution issues. In summary, I can only say that the trip on the S-Bahn between the airport and Gateway Gardens, where the hotel was, was a quick 2-minute ride.

It is more touristic than I thought, a bit overcrowded for my taste. One reason to not take the cable car up the mountain. If you like crowds and lots of restaurants you're at the right place. We had a good meal in Willingen. We went to the hang bridge (Sky walk) nearby, we visited the Dimeltalsperre and we went shopping in Winterberg.

We love the hotel and the spa area.

We love the hotel and the spa area. Breakfast is excellent and bar menu good. We do not give the full excellent rating because we would have expected from a four star hotel a complimentary water kettle with tea and coffee as well was a water bottle. This is even provided by the lower rated chain holiday inn express. For the amount of 160 Euro per night versus 120 Euro this should be changed and added to all rooms for extra service and benefit to the guests.

I used to spend a lot of time in Kassel in my college years...

I used to spend a lot of time in Kassel in my college years and wanted to take my family there. Sadly, we saw a lot of homelessness and graffiti in the city. I wanted to return to Martin Lutherplatz and it was filled with homeless individuals around the gravesites and the church was not accessible. We felt unsafe in the city - not sure if staying in Wilhelmshöhe would have been better, but we would have been closer to the Bergpark there. Restaurants were good and Eckstein was our favorite discovery after spending time at the Grimmwelt. The history of Kassel and the beauty of the city were hard to appreciate when you don’t feel safe.

A very Good, quiet, classy and beautiful town. Its not like a metropolitan city, life here is very simple, quiet and pleasant. If you want to have a break from your busy schedule, please do visit this town.

I returned specifically to Rudesheim.

I returned specifically to Rudesheim. The chairlift ride up through the vineyards is realxing and so scenic. Walk to the massive Germania statue then walk back to town (or chairlift down). Had I stayed longer I would have walked over to Assmanshausen - on the list for next time! The mechanical music museum is fabulous - very interesting exhibits. Love eating on the Drosselgasse - touristy but a lot of fun with good food, great wine and some places with entertainment.

Perfect place to stay. Not too far from the airport.

Perfect place to stay. Not too far from the airport. In the evening the wait time can be longer. The last shuttle bus to the hotel goes at 22:45. I stayed with the dog and everything was cool at the hotel. Definitely would recommend to anyone traveling through Frankfurt. A free ride back to the airport would be even better!

The city has more to offer than fabulous Mathildenhöhe. There is the very beautiful castle and the marvellous Landesmuseum. The Jugendstilbad (swimming pool in a historical building) was great. People are kind and helpful everywhere.

Offenbach is not what you can call a touristic spot, but it is a great location for those with interests in Frankfurt, Wiesbaden or people visiting German Fairs or shows. This hotel is just a few steps away from a train station, so I think it is fair enough to choose Offenbach as your place during a trip to Germany.

We really enjoyed our visit and were positively surprised to learn about the history of the town. Tip no. 1 - the Elisabeth Cafe close to the Elisabeth Church is fabulous. Tip no. 2 - if you were hoping to see St Elisabeth's shrine in the church ask to purchase a ticket at the entrance because it isn't immediately apparent where it is (there are ongoing restorations) - truly beautiful. There are short services (15 minutes) during the week at lunchtime - also lovely if you like that kind of thing.
