Well-located in the heart of Eltmann, where we found good restaurants for our evening meal and a pleasant conditorei for breakfast, though the Pension would willingly have arranged breakfast for us if we'd asked them to. A quiet location with modern interior decor and good facilities including a drinks fridge with 'honesty box' payment system. We arrived by bike and were able to lock these away securely overnight.

Quiet area, nice views, kind and helpful owner, enough space for 3 people (toilet and shower were seperated with each a sink, so 2 sinks for one room - very convenient when you’re traveling with more than 2 people), there was also free parking right in front of the accommodation

Absolutely stunning location nestled in a quaint village in the countryside. The room was clean, comfortable, and modern. We sadly arrived a bit late for dinner at the restaurant, but enjoyed a delicious dessert and breakfast in the morning. The staff was warm and welcoming - we had a fabulous visit!

Hosts cancelled our stay after we complained to them and to booking about their unethical reservation and check-in and checkout extra charges not disclosed prior to booking a non-refundable room. Did not appreciate them charging a 59 Euro cancellation fee following their cancellation of our room because we dared to complain.

Unfortunately, Eltmann is a far cry from what it used to be.

Unfortunately, Eltmann is a far cry from what it used to be. There are many vacant properties and very few opportunities for tourists. Everything feels bleak and deserted. It's a good location as a base for exploring the region. I wish Eltmann would be brought back to life.

Small, cozy village with all the amenities needed for daily life. Beautiful location on the Main River with excellent opportunities for walking and cycling. Direct motorway access to Würzburg and Bamberg/Bayreuth.

Check-in is only possible from 5 pm to 6 pm, and you have to...

Check-in is only possible from 5 pm to 6 pm, and you have to vacate the room by 9 am. Messages in five languages, such as "Urinating next to the toilet costs €15," "If the skylights are opened, leave the room immediately," and "Kitchen use costs €15 per day," are posted in the rooms. I find this extremely inhospitable.

Absolutely fine for the price. Very friendly welcome. Great surroundings, very peaceful. The Main River is only a few hundred meters away, with a fantastic cycling and hiking trail. We ate in Bamberg, but there's also a restaurant in town, just a few meters from the guesthouse. However, the narrow streets can be a bit of a challenge for drivers.

A small, idyllic, and charming town in a fantastic location...

A small, idyllic, and charming town in a fantastic location on the Main River, nestled between the Steigerwald and Haßberge hills. Beautiful hiking trails and churches, and highly recommended restaurants. Centrally located for visiting Bamberg, Ebrach, and Würzburg.
