For more than 130 years, this family-run hotel and restaurant has welcomed visitors to the heart of Ahlen-Vorhelm, a charming Münsterland village near the A2 motorway. Very nice people. It was nice to have a quality restaurant right on the premises, although it was a bit difficult to get a table as they were packed on that Saturday evening. But then again, that's a good sign. On my day of departure, the engine light came on in my car. Not good if you need to drive over 300 km to get home. Frau Witte came to my aid and recommended an excellent local repair shop. They fixed my problem and got me on my way very quickly. I really appreciated the recommendation!

This traditional 4-star hotel and restaurant in the Münsterland region is a 30-minute drive from Hamm. Its bright rooms feature modern furniture, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TV with satellite channels.... The breakfast was very generous. The fruit was fresh, bread freshly baked, jams fantastic quality. The eggs and delicatessen were of high quality. I was surprised to have got such varied selection of food in the buffet. The receptionist didn't mind us arriving a lot earlier to the hotel than planned. The family room was very spacious, cosy, modern and traditional country style decor. We also had dinner at their restaurant and I can say it has been one of the most delicious meals I had during our trip. Very generous portions and great quality ingredients. The traditional German decor added to the charm in the dining area and the staff was very friendly. The manager even allowed my daughter to play a piano which was in the entrance. The hotel has free parking and the location is very quiet. Very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Exceptionally good value for such a lovely experience.
