You know those moments in your life when you least expect something and then a lifelong memory happens? That's what we had after meeting the owners of this beautiful place - nicest, kindest and most hospitable people you could ever meet. The property itself is tastefully decorated, large, very clean and with a very comfortable bed. You can also use the whole kitchen, garden and garden furniture. Parking on site, plenty of space. House is in a quiet street in a lovely village. There's also a bakery just across the street. Dogs are welcomed and very nicely treated also.

You only go here if you have to. As a tourist, you have no business here. The architecture is generally depressing, and the town center has nothing worth mentioning. A highlight: the municipality has four power plants and a huge lignite mine.

Grevenbroich has a number of interesting spots...the parks (former state garden show grounds), the castle, Langwaden Monastery, etc. However, the city center (pedestrian zone and Montanushof) is often quite deserted, even on Saturdays.

The town itself seems deserted, but there are some very nice...

The town itself seems deserted, but there are some very nice cafes and restaurants. You can spend a few pleasant hours, especially at "Extrablatt." There are lovely walking paths in the surrounding area, a great city park with a wildlife enclosure along the Erft River, and numerous castles nearby! There's direct access to the motorway, so you can get anywhere quickly.

Grevenbroich is a great starting point for trips to the major cities of Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Mönchengladbach; Aachen and the Netherlands are also easily accessible. I enjoy walking on the Vollrather Höhe, in the wooded area, on the Welchenberg, and along the Erft river.

Really nice hotel with carpark underneath that had cameras and barriers. Rooms were a nice big size with a good shower. We didn’t venture out as it was a short stop off on the motorbike’s, so I can’t comment on the area. Friendly and helpful staff, we did have a problem in our first room which they tried to resolve but in the end offered us an alternative room just down the corridor.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Stadt in Grevenbroich. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent and the bed was perfect. I slept incredibly well the nights I was there. The breakfast was very good and it had a good selection.
