This is our first trip with our new born baby. We're so lucky to book the place at Gasthaus Seeblick. The whole service team is absolutely warm and friendly like a family. The house prepared a baby bed for us! It made me feel so taken care of. The food provided at the in-house restaurant is amazing, so beyond my expectations; it's not a "billig" menu but the taste and food definitely worth their prices.

While not the easiest place to find once found it was wonderful! Do not count on Google Maps or any other navigation means to get you there! The hotel itself was very, very nice! Extremely clean and both tastefully designed and furnished! Our balcony view was of a small vineyard in front of the local church and out our large side window was a beautiful view of Lake Constance. Associated with (ownedby) the hotel is Gruper Tropfen a restaurant right across the street from the hotel. GT is well manned by Nico who was an absolute delight. He is friendly, courteous, well spoken, knowledgeable and extremely personable. Hopefully hotel management appreciates what an amazing asset he is to their business! The food was quite good at the restaurant and we ended up dining there both of the evenings of our stay! The shores of Lake Constance are a very short walk away and bordered by a lovely park! If I went this way again in my travels I’d look no further than Hagnau am Bodenseehotel Renn!

A nice friendly village directly on the lake. Superb local wines, which can be bought at the "Winzerverein" . In summer it is sometimes a bit busy, but there are many activities. In winter Hagnau is very quiet (which we like). Most restaurants are then closed. But if you like walking, walk to Meersburg (good Italian restaurant on the seafront) or to Immenstaad (restaurant Heinzler). If you stay in an apartment buy the superb lake fish (Felchen, Hecht, Zander) from the local fishermen (e.g. Waldvogel) and treat yourself to some of the best freshwater fish I know. If you like hiking and the very quiet part of the year February is a really nice period. Anaway Hagnau is always a worth a visit.ElmarNetherlands - 10

Pretty, small village on the lake. Family friendly. Lots of cafes and restaurants, small port, ferry stop, including one direct to Switzerland 3 days a week in high season (only 6km). Lovely swimming, sailing, some watersports. Short walk to next town for thermal spa. Campsite. Bike track around the lake.
