This place was cool. I was just looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Kronach. I did not pay too much attention to the description - but you really are staying in a crazy old castle. It's like something from a Disney movie - "tell the guards to open up the gates!" The location is amazing, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was good.

Medieval charm is provided in these hotels in the heart of Kronach’s historic Old Town district. Die Kronacher Stadthotels feature a traditional restaurant with an arched cellar.

Pool very nice (we used the indoor one, but they also have two outdoor ones!). Staff very friendly and accommodating - hotel does not have a “Ruhetag” (important as the location, while lovely, is rather remote) but has a more restricted menu & hours one day a week instead. We were there on this day, but there was still sufficient choice and the waitress prepared some ice cream for us after the kitchen had closed, despite being very busy.

Location was nice, many paths to walk, to be in nature and it’s quiet. Our son liked there very much.
