Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and evening meal was also available if you wanted it. The countryside is very pretty around hotel and I will go back another time to explore this.

Perfect location. Nice room. Excellent breakfast. Good parking.

I really liked it, excellent value for money.

quite, clean and great staff. Allowed us to check in earlier.

This is the hotel that Bayreuth (the locus of some really terrible places to stay--I could name one in particular but won't) has always needed. No frills, clean , comfortable and most importantly, at the foot of the Green Hill, within walking distance of the Festspielhaus. Wonderful beds. Spacious, immaculate bathrooms. Great staff. Superb breakfast. Not luxurious, just perfect for the purposes of Wagner pilgrims. Extremely well run. House keeping schedule keyed to opera times .

Friendly personel and comfy room.

The deluxe double room is spacious. The hotel is next to the central station

Very well situated, comfortable rooms, clean and quiet.

Arvena is a very well organised hotel. The staff are wonderful, polite and helpful. My room was on the 5th floor facing a nice building surrounded by trees, which I love. They provided a shuttle service to the Bayreuth opera house which was very enjoyable.

I was q bit worried about staying in a smart hotel but be reassured all you other technophobes we were able to check in with a human in the restaurant across the road where we also got a ticket for parking during our stay either in front of the hotel or up the road. The hotel was very solid and comfortable and the decoration grew on us. I loved the concept that you can use whatever you find in the hotel.. including beer. The restaurant on site is very good and stays.open late and there is a free bus to the festival

One of the best hotels we have been to — clean, great location, staff was very friendly. The rooms are spacious and have a lot of day light. Everything is sparkly clean and comfortable — there is a dedicated work space as well as relax zone. There is enough storage space as well. Breakfast was very delicious.

I am a regular guest at the Goldener Anker, to me personally, this family hotel provides a warm experience every time I pass by. It might not be for everybody, however I appreciate the personal touches and historic setting.

It is quirky and lovely with very kind staff. The connected restaurant is great with excellent food and the hotel serves a really lovely breakfast. Some of the features of the hotel were not 100% suitable to mobility impaired guests, but the hotel pointed out after our stay they do have facilities for this - we did not know at the time unfortunately.

Spacious room and very, very comfortable bed.

A wonderful 'healthy' breakfast served by the owners (no buffet!)

We had such a warm welcome. The room was very well appointed and newly refurbished in a historic schloß on the outskirts of Bayreuth. The castle itself is a very special place to stay, the wonderful breakfast on the terrace was a particular highlight.
