This was a wonderful stay. It was a very cute, clean, well equipped room. It was a short easy walk down the main road from the train station to the cheerfully decorated hotel. Our room had beautiful views of the town, comfortable beds, and a great bathroom. Our two year old loved running around the room and watching the busses and plows out on the main road. The location was great. It is about a 10 minute walk to the train station and you pass several restaurants and cafes along the way. There are also a couple of nearby grocery stores. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Hinterzarten, especially with a family.

Loved, loved, loved the stay! It was like having a dream vacation! Proximity to walks, the property has its own private park with deers that you can feed! Great outdoor pool and amenities. The setting is magical, nature is everywhere! The owners of the property take pride to make guest's every move enjoyable to the tee! The food is incredible! The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Lovely location. Reception, bar and cleaning staff were really friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff - generally very polite. Beautifully decorated spa facilities. The pool area was exceptional. Relaxation areas were wonderful made even better by having access to herbal teas. Fresh clean towels always available. During our stay the hotel seemed full however the spa facilities were always quiet and at times we were the sole users. The food was phenomenal! Well presented and tasty. Good choices. Even the tables were laid beautifully with space around each table. The treat of afternoon cakes was great with a good selection. Our room was situated at the front of the hotel and a good size with a seating area but the bathroom was a little small with the shower doors not opening fully due to restricted space. The parking spaces felt quite generous and the green areas, although not huge were always well maintained. From a British perspective, seeing the owner present, serving and chatting to guests was lovely to see. The staff wore traditional clothing which added to the experience of our stay.

Everything was perfect. Online registration, key card effortlessly done in a minute.. Lovey touch with a sauna , after the long day of driving. Excellent breakfast, with very attentive lady in the breakfast area. Comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom, nice view from the balcony.

A quaint and peaceful German town where we stayed for one night while visiting Christmas Markets across the region. We were there on Sunday of Christmas week so many of the stores and businesses were closed, but everyone we met were very pleasant and welcoming.

It will suit anyone looking to spend lots of time outdoors.

It will suit anyone looking to spend lots of time outdoors. We had poor weather and the local indoor attractions were extremely expensive. Prices vary according to when you wish to visit, and the water park wanted over €300 for a family of three adults and two children (9 & 14). That's a lot of money just to get wet! On top of this they wanted a further €10 to park the car! The walks and activities around Lake Titisee were excellent. We enjoyed taking an electric motor boat out on the lake, and the prices were reasonable. Local restaurants were good and accessible on foot, but because I was struggling with a knee problem, we went by car. Good local parking was available and after 18:00 it was free.

Nice friendly town free local transport with guest card. Local supermarket . We went to Triberg which was beautiful and we did the tobaggan run at Tod ax and the small theme park which was great fun and good value . Property was a good base for our travels . The two restaurants in town were very friendly . Especially Peter in the hotel on the corner .

It's a lovely Black Forrest village near the Ravenna Gorge...

It's a lovely Black Forrest village near the Ravenna Gorge Christmas Market- one of the most unique markets in Europe. Its a short drive or train ride to Titisee or Freiburg. We were there in December but there seemed to be quite a few summer activities and sights offered Overall, I enjoyed the relaxation and fresh forest air and atmosphere before a week adventure to Strasbourg, Baden Baden and on to Frankfurt. Made for a beautiful first stop on Christmas Market adventure.

It was beyond my expectation. So quaint and charming.

It was beyond my expectation. So quaint and charming. It felt like a storybook weekend get away. I would absolutely go back and stay. Perfect location for multiple families wanting a trip away together with their own privacy and space.

Beautiful house in a quiet village. We stayed on the top-floor apartment which is spacious and very comfortable. The mountain view from the back of the house is magnificent. Nice living area and spacious bedroom. Kitchen has everything you need for making simple meal. Very short walk from station; a good & casual restaurant across the street; a well-stocked supermarket 300m up the road. Very convenient location. And the host and hostess - they are very nice people looking after all our needs. Very fond memories of Hinterzarten.

We stayed at this appartment for a long weekend, going crosscountry skiing in the nearby area. The host was very nice upon arrival. The appartment was clean, warm and cozy. We had all the facilities we needed for sleeping, cooking and relaxing. The car could be parked right in front of the propery. The neighborhood is very quiet en calm, with restaurants and shops on walking distance. We absolutely enjoyed our stay herein Hinterzarten, would recommend this to anyone who visits the Black Forest area.

The hotel decorated beautifully. They gave me the exact room I asked for and I had a great time sitting in the balcony next to the room dring beer and enjoying the view. The staff are very friendly and breakfast is aboundant. It's a quiet samll town, but it makes you slow down to really enjoy your holiday and release your stress.
