The views over the Neckar valley were phenomenal! The castle is high on top of a hill and it was beautiful to watch the sun set over the river and the wildlife (birds and bats) come out at dusk. The room was very spacious with high ceilings (and very large bathroom), and the chairs and bed were very comfortable -- made us feel like kings! Also the breakfast was the best we had in Germany -- fresh fruit smoothies, homemade jam, eggs made to taste, a build your own muesli station and a lot of other choices beyond the usual brötchen and cold cuts.

This castle was amazing!!!! It’s something to say to people that you stayed in a castle from the 1200s!!!! There’s not enough adjectives to describe it. The views from your window is amazing. The grounds are well maintained that you can walk on with many flowers. You can also hike into the surrounding forest which was so nice. If you can get the only room with a balcony, get it. The view is worth it. The staff were very friendly and we got to know one of the owners a bit and she was super nice. This is THE BEST place to say in Obrigheim.

The property is itself the schloss and the place is in touch with the nature. It was very peaceful and calm. We went in summer and were a bit doubtful as there was no AC but the morning breeze was just heavenly. We kept the windows open and the room cooled down with natural breeze. The staff were also very helpful. We lost the way at night on the night we checked in but the receptionist waited for us past our checkin time. I would definitely like to go back here again and recommend anyone who is planning. Apparently this is also a very nice place to get married and have a get together. We also got to know some interesting facts about the village from the nice staffs.

We really appreciated the very warm welcome we received here after hours of train travel. We were escorted personally to our room, assisted up the stairs with our luggage, given a very helpful orientation to the hotel and its facilities, were offered a spacious and very comfortable room and within a short time, were relaxing on the terrace over good coffee and delicious cake. Hotel Herberge zur Traube is exactly the sort of place we hope to find when we travel in Germany, with family-run hospitality that makes all the difference in a hotel stay. Breakfast offered good variety, including house-smoked meats, the hotel itself s a historical delight, and Bad Wimpfen is a very pleasant town, with most of what we needed within walking distance, including the trains. We hope to return to this lovely hotel.

The house and garden were absolutely stunning. The rooms were simply furnished in a style that perfectly matched the seminary. Bathroom was very new and everything was exceptionally clean. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
