We stayed at Schlosshotel Horneck for one night and arrived relatively late. Check-in was done online, and we received a code for a safe with clear instructions to get the key, which worked smoothly. The staff were friendly and smiling, which added to the positive experience. The hotel is very beautiful from the outside and inside and has a historic feel, and the room was extremely large and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Since this is a castle, we expected a more immersive historic interior design, but the rooms were mostly white with modern lighting and design, which was a bit disappointing. Parking was also somewhat limited, and the access road is quite narrow. Overall, despite the small disappointments, it is a very good and unique place to stay.

This castle was amazing!!!! It’s something to say to people that you stayed in a castle from the 1200s!!!! There’s not enough adjectives to describe it. The views from your window is amazing. The grounds are well maintained that you can walk on with many flowers. You can also hike into the surrounding forest which was so nice. If you can get the only room with a balcony, get it. The view is worth it. The staff were very friendly and we got to know one of the owners a bit and she was super nice. This is THE BEST place to say in Obrigheim.

The property is itself the schloss and the place is in touch with the nature. It was very peaceful and calm. We went in summer and were a bit doubtful as there was no AC but the morning breeze was just heavenly. We kept the windows open and the room cooled down with natural breeze. The staff were also very helpful. We lost the way at night on the night we checked in but the receptionist waited for us past our checkin time. I would definitely like to go back here again and recommend anyone who is planning. Apparently this is also a very nice place to get married and have a get together. We also got to know some interesting facts about the village from the nice staffs.

We really appreciated the very warm welcome we received here after hours of train travel. We were escorted personally to our room, assisted up the stairs with our luggage, given a very helpful orientation to the hotel and its facilities, were offered a spacious and very comfortable room and within a short time, were relaxing on the terrace over good coffee and delicious cake. Hotel Herberge zur Traube is exactly the sort of place we hope to find when we travel in Germany, with family-run hospitality that makes all the difference in a hotel stay. Breakfast offered good variety, including house-smoked meats, the hotel itself s a historical delight, and Bad Wimpfen is a very pleasant town, with most of what we needed within walking distance, including the trains. We hope to return to this lovely hotel.

I liked the organization of the room. The chocolate heart was a nice feature. I liked how they included a copy of a bible there if one wanted to read that. I loved the shower! I absolutely love stand-up, walk-in showers with a glass door (no curtains). Absolutely the best physical feature of the room. The breakfast was nice and the staff were all really friendly and accomodating, especially the cook, who brought out eggs she had cooked for me to my table. The couple employees also helped me when I had questions about a church & church service. Ich habe mit Ihnen fast immer auf Deutsch sprechen, und Sie würden sehr freundlich und glücklich bei mir durch den ganzen Wochenende (und auch sehr hilfreich :) ). Mein Zeit hier hat mich sehr gefreut. Vielen Dank <3
