Featuring a large garden and views of the Bavarian Alps, this traditional hotel is just 0.9 mi from the scenic Lake Kochel. The hotel had the exact measure of traditional 'gemuetlichkeit' in a quiet location that we were looking for. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast delicious. I visited Kochel with the sole purpose of going to the Kristall Therme. It was totally worth it! The therme overlooks the lake and the surrounding mountains, the staff are extremely kind and helpful, and it is possible to drive or walk from any of the main hotels. Kochel is best for outdoor adventure - cycling, hiking, skiing, etc. I walked around a bit and visited the Franz Marc Museum (pretty nice, actually), but I didn't do much else. Beware of bad weather and disrupted train schedules. I was stuck for part of the day because the trains couldn't run (debris from the storm on the train tracks) and the replacement bus couldn't get through (roads were closed also due to debris), so I had to take a very circuitous route back to Munich. It was possible though! And the mountains during snowfall was beautiful!
The hotel was just lovely. Peaceful accommodation right on the lake very close to stunning pool complex Krystall Trimini. Delicious dinner. Buffet breakfast included in price. Not far to walchensee where the water is the most amazing turquoise colour.
A beautiful, elegant hotel full of history. Our room on 2nd floor had a balcony with a wonderful view of the Bavarian Alps. Having a lift was a bonus esp with bike panniers. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and always ready to assist, like allowing us to leave our panniers at the hotel while we did a ferry cruise. Bike storage for our bikes was great. The meals in the restaurant, along with breakfast were of the highest standard. We wished we could have stayed longer. Many thanks from rwo very satisfied customers.
10/10 The apartment had everything one needs. The kitchen had perfect equipment. Everything was clean and had good hotel standards. When we wanted to cook for ourselves and missed salt, the friendly staff of the main hotel was eager to help us out, without charge. We checked out an hour late, which was no problem at all. Perfect service and a good introduction to the location and it‘s surroundings. Would definitely choose this apartment again.
The room was clean and modern, with a nice balcony. Stuff was friendly. We could feel that they worked hard to provide best service in their class. Breakfast was good (ordinary buffet, decent choice, no warm dishes), but I would not rate it as excellent, as stated by booking.com. Such a high rating of breakfast is probably due to preferences of German travellers. All in all we enjoyed our 1 week stay a lot and would recommend this hotel.
Very quiet and nice hotel. Does not have pool or hot tub which would be nice after skiing but the area is beautiful, safe and has great hiking/running trails nearby! Breakfast was good and coffee was excellent!glad we had a balcony so we could put our food/drinks outside to keep them cold.
The big plus of this hotel is its comfortable terrace from which you can hop straight into the lake. The view is gorgeous especially at sunset. The sauna comes on at 4 pm. The breakfast buffet is nice and includes smoked salmon but I was disappointed by the quality of the bread.
We loved the hotel. Good spread for breakfast. Everything is in good working conditions. Rooms have a balcony which is a plus. Location is very ideal as walking distance to nearby cafe & restaurants. Staffs are very friendly which is very pleasant.
A very nice Hotel with spacious rooms and an excellent breakfast. Secure parking for bicycles and friendly and helpful staff. The recommendation for the restaurant was very good.
Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated in Bavarian style and a most amazing breakfast! Fantastic selection of meats, cheeses, breads. Homemade jams and jellies. .
