A beautiful place close to a historic ruin. Excellent breakfast and friendly service ! We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful location , the food was good and the rooms very cozy and clean

The very friendly owners and a nice relaxing area with a sauna. A great place to relax after a nice hike in the Bavarian forest.

The location is great, the room was spotless and Oleg and his family are really kind to the guests!

We had a wonderful 7-day stay at Magdalenenhof. Since we arrived on Sunday evening, the reception was already closed. However, we had received clear instructions in advance on how to use the key box located at the main entrance. We had no issues whatsoever with the self-check-in process. The breakfast service was exceptional — fresh, varied, and of very good quality. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, while still giving you plenty of privacy and space. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The hotel is located about a 20-minute walk from the local train station and around a 30-minute walk from the city center. If you are looking for a quiet, high-quality place to stay, this is definitely the one to choose!

The Posthalter hotel was excellent value for money. The staff the food and cleanliness was excellent and I will not hesitate to book this hotel on my return visit in September.

The place is wonderful, with a beautiful hiking trail running right behind the property. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety of options. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back.

The staff, the food and the service, really feel like we are on vacation, the breakfast and dinner are high quality, they also have cake time.

A truly wonderful gem of a hotel. We stayed in their suite which was located in a villa just a few steps away from the main hotel building. We had the most beautiful view overlooking the little town of Zwiesel and enjoyed the big space the suite provided. The decor was definitely unique, far from modern, but still done with taste and comfort. We were absolutely *in love* with the super comfortable king size bed and the impeccable job they did with the soft lighting in the room. The breakfast included in our stay had a wide selection and great quality of ingredients, as well as a very pleasant dining room experience. The staff was kind and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed the spa and fitness facilities offered by the hotel. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing escape this is definitely the place to go to. We would be very happy to come back as soon as possible☺️

The peaceful location, the spa is a great addition.

Excellent food Clean Calm environment Ideally located for hiking in the forest

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Sonnenhof. The attention to detail is impressive and the entire place is perfectly organized. The food was a real highlight – consistently delicious. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. We couldn't find a single fault and would recommend it without hesitation.

Very nice hotel we had a great time and lovely weather that weekend in Bodenmais. We enjoyed the 3/4 Pension with the afternoon cake selection before hitting the wellness area. Would stay again!

Clean, cosy first class experience!
