It is a charming family run hotel in the middle of the forest. We had a wonderful and very big room with a balcony overlooking the small lake. The staff was super nice and I felt at home. I hope they will not change a thing, it was very charming and I hope it stays like this forever, there are not many old fashioned (in a good way!) hotels like this anymore

A very cozy hotel that has preserved its local atmosphere. Comfortable, clean rooms, and friendly hosts always ready to help. Having a kettle in the room would make it absolutely perfect, though downstairs you have a machine with coffee, tea, various soups, and all kinds of sweets. Excellent location – right in the city center, close to Externsteine and hiking trails.

The breakfast was great, and I even received a larger room that the one I booked for, at the same price. Everything was very clean and nice. The sauna was amazing, and the garden is just lovely. I enjoyed the place very much and I really recommend it! It was also possible to have 2 dogs in the rooms, for which I am so grateful!

On all the accommodation was super nice, housekeeping very friendly I will recommend 100%

Actually the room I stayed in was very beautiful, conformable and affordable, even though I arrived late due to transportation issues I was able to check into my room

In breakfast there are extremely limited varieties. There should be menu and some more varieties of food. e.g. various Recipes of Eggs, Cheese, Butter, Fruit Salads, Kartoffelpuffer or Rösti, some more Warme Speisen. Kind suggestion. If Hotel has more guests then try to keep more options in food.

The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Everywhere was very clean. There were lots of amenities in the room, fridge, kettle etc. The hotel is right next to the train station so it is very easy to find (but there was no noise from the station). We missed breakfast on the last morning but the staff still offered us some which was excellent.Overall, I would recommend staying here.

It was quiet. The bed was comfortable. Very spacious.
