I stayed at this hotel for one night and had a very positive experience. The place was exceptionally clean, which really made me feel comfortable during my stay. The room was spacious and came with a big bed, making it easy to relax and get a good night's sleep. It also featured a fridge, TV, and a table, adding to the convenience and comfort. The owner was very nice and welcoming, which made my visit even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay!

I am relatively critical as a guest because of my frequent business trips to places I would never travel to for tourism reasons. So it's all the more rewarding to have an absolute stroke of luck with the "Jagdschloss Walkenried"! The historic building has the historical flair but offers all the amenities of a modern hotel - and at a really reasonable price. Moreover, the hotel has only a few rooms, it is not a mass hotel. I will definitely stay here more often. I would like to mention as particularly positive: - sufficient number and size of parking spaces - Very friendly reception - modern equipped rooms - very nice, clean bathroom - very comfortable and large bed - good internet - nice LARGE garden with comfortable seats - gas barbecue for free use - upstairs a large and cosy common room with pool billiard and library - well stocked breakfast buffet

The hotel is located in a small town/village on a small lake with a charming town center and plenty of good restaurants. I had a single room (no. 111) on the first floor (there's an elevator). The room was quite spacious for me and had all the basic necassities. The room is quiet, with windows that open. It's surprisingly cool, considering it's over 30 degrees Celsius outside during the day. The shower is spacious and provides plenty of hot water. The bed is a simple single with a good, comfortable mattress. The Wi-Fi is fast, password protected and i had perfect reception in my room. You can take drinks from the cooler at reception to your room, which you can pay for afterwards. if you need anything, just ask the owner; otherwise, they'll just leave you alone. My motorcycle is in a locked garage, which I can open with my own key. Fantastic. Breakfast is a typical continental one with a wide selection of cold cuts, cheese, jam, cereal, yogurt, orange juice, and more. Simple coffee and tea are provided. Not to forget the pice for the room isn't much! This turned out to be one of my best hotels for a motorcyclist like me!

Great place to stay for touring the Harz mountains. The first thing that happened upon my arrival was to get the motorbike off the street, and around the back, next to theirs. Brilliant, in a courtyard safe and sound. I didn't even have to ask, it was offered straight away. I had the best room in the house, I was overlooking my bike, so what could be better. My room had everything that I needed in it for a nice relaxing stay. I slept really well, the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was ample for me too. All in all I'd stay here again if I'm round this way again. Thanks to you both.
