What an amazing place to spend a week! Extremely comfortable bed for two tall Dutchies. Very clean and new. We cooked the whole week and had everything we needed. The view from the balcony made us look up house prices in the area, we loved it so much. You even have a view from the shower! The perfect place to rest after a day of activities, of which there are plenty in the area. We got a lot of tips from our host and had the best time.

We really enjoyed walking through the old town of Wolfach...

We really enjoyed walking through the old town of Wolfach and along the Kinzig river. For nearby villages having a car is convenient, but within the town itself everything is close and manageable on foot. The surrounding Black Forest scenery is beautiful and very calming, especially for slow walks with a child.

This is a beautiful place with excellent hiking from the door. Typical of the Black Forest there is a lovely themed walk which starts opposite the hotel. We saw lots of wild deer and enjoyed the very pretty stream which runs down the valley.

The best place to visit and experience the Black Forest.

The best place to visit and experience the Black Forest. Centrally located near most of the attractions and a beautiful village with loads to see and do. We used a car rental from Offenburg and travel through the small towns and the Black Forest national park for several days. Easy parking and good hotels and restaurants. Wolfach is a wonderful place with so much to offer.

Äckerhof is located in a peaceful setting, ideal for anyone who is keen on being away from other people. There are endless walks around the property. It’s a brilliant place for nature lovers. St Roman is not too far away and easily walkable. We’d recommend the restaurant at Hotel Adler for lunch or dinner, with its varied menu that also caters for vegetarians. The accommodation at Äckerhof is great for a longer stay, with stunning views from the balcony. Well recommended.

It has the flair of a ski resort hotel in Austria. And great sauna with beautiful view of the countryside and little village and outside heated pool. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices of fruit and special breads and good dinner. Staff was also friendly. Actually the hotel is better than the pictures. Rooms in the new building are very comfortable, except for the neon light. Less cosy than it could be.

Good layover hotel situated in Wolfach just around the corner from the high street. Wolfach is lovely definitely motorcycle friendly. Pool was welcome after a hot ride. Not sure what some reviewers want, yes decor is a bit 90's but it's clean and not worn out. Breakfast usual continental style. Parking for cars was tight managed to get bike in and then several more arrived as well.

The property is a traditional German Hotel centrally located in Wolfach and the Black Forest. The staff were very friendly and always helpful, the accommodation had everything we needed from comfortable rooms, hot showers and delicious food. The garage was a bonus which offered secure parking for our motorcycles.
