First impression is just wow! It's newly cool renovated half-timbered house. Small decorations and details that shows love of the owners to the place. Nice room, really comfy bed and excellent shower. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious.

From the outside you wouldn’t believe what this hidden gem has to offer. Lovely beer grade to the rear. Excellent food in the restaurant. Shower in the bathroom was lovely and powerful. Made to feel really welcome and a great breakfast in the morning.

We only stayed one hour and were planning to go out for dinner but we found the environment so lovely that decided to stay. The kitchen has everything we needed, including complementary selection of teas, coffee and juices (and marmalade). We really enjoyed sitting in the terrace with the nice view of the fields. We were travelling from Switzerland and chose this location as was not too far to visit the Neuschwanstein castle on our way on the following day, but it was a short ride to Lanau so it would be a good location to stay and visit the lake Constance. I would highly recommend this apartment.

A lovely little village with several leisure activities,...

A lovely little village with several leisure activities, including a farmhouse museum, a car museum (for those interested), an orangery, a castle, and a former church (old parish) that hosts concerts. While you can reach Wolfegg train station (1.5 km outside the village) by public transport, the bus service is unfortunately terrible. However, you can treat yourself to excellent food at the Gasthaus Post!

The lovely Landhotel Allgäu in Alttann.

The lovely Landhotel Allgäu in Alttann. The automobile museum in Wolfegg was fantastic – a wonderful journey into the past, bringing back memories of bygone eras. The café by the castle park had a delicious selection of cakes and a very friendly staff member. You could comfortably enjoy your cake and an Aperol Spritz in the garden.

Friendly, clean, and reasonably priced accommodation. The furnishings in the main building are a bit dated, but charmingly rustic. The guesthouse is super modern and up-to-date. Very friendly staff.

I really enjoyed the valley known as "Hell."

I really enjoyed the valley known as "Hell." We ate lunch several times at the Gleisneun bakery. The post office was closed that one day. We highly recommend the bakery; they have a delicious pear bread.

A lovely village in a great location.

A lovely village in a great location. Hotel Restaurant Zur Post. We go there every two years for the big donkey festival at the Bauernhausmuseum. Always so enthusiastic about returning.

A very beautiful village, castle, car museum, farm museum, Loreto Chapel with a superb view of the Alps! An excellent starting point for excursions to Upper Swabia (Upper Swabian Baroque Route) and Lake Constance!

Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean with a short walk to the lift/stairs leading to the reception/dining or pool area. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, the restaurant meals were fantastic which made our stay memorable. Good underground parking with easy access to the hotel lift.
