I liked the view from my suite of schloss neuschwanstein which was seen from our balcony. The owner Annette was very welcoming ,provided a lot of local information and especially Sabine who made our stay very comfortable,and offered take away coffee for our road trip. The parking was very easily accessible and spacious and even after checkout they allowed us to keep our car in the parking

If you prefer small cities - then Fussen would fit you.

If you prefer small cities - then Fussen would fit you. If you prefer villages with many houses for tourists and plan to swim in lakes- then you might better book Schwangau which is not so far from Fussen. I definitely want to return back a little later, may be in different season. There are a lot of trails for hiking (or doing nothing :) ).

Oberstdorf completely exceeded my expectations! The breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal-clear air, and charming village made every moment unforgettable. I loved exploring the incredible hiking trails, soaking in the spectacular views, and relaxing at the cozy cafés. The whole area is beautifully maintained and has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to my next visit. I can't recommend Oberstdorf enough—it's an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves nature and the outdoors!

A really interesting town.

A really interesting town. The first time I came here I was very limited for time and barely looked around - this time I walked around the town in the evening for well over an hour and saw a great many places that I want to come back to and learn more about.

Nice little town with Bavarian influence. Some nice boutiques along the main street. Great Italian Ice cream shops and local restaurants. Recommend the HIRSCH which is a bit outside of town with traditional home cooked cuisine from the region.

Leaflet produced by the Schwangau tourist office on winter walks was useful. The Schwangau guest card gives free local bus travel and reduced entry to local attractions. Castles need to be booked in advance to ensure entry, or join a tour group at higher cost.

When we first booked the castle, we booked it for the afternoon having done the larger castle in the morning. Unfortunately, we had to wait three hours because of the timed entry. It seemed that if tours were not full that it should be allowed to let people who had scheduled a later time join an earlier tour.

The City of Memmingen has to offer a lot of antique areas and corners. It is one of the most beautiful old cities of Bavaria. It is very reasonable and the Restaurants serve outstanding and delicious Bavarian specialties. Beer and Wine and dishes are reasonably priced, tasty and plentiful. During our past trips to Germany we have never missed Germany.

The scenery is unbelievably good.

The scenery is unbelievably good. Just at the start of the alpine region you have a view of massive mountains all around you. Bakeries on basically every corner that open early so you can get freshly baked bread for breakfast. Good locations to go for a swim a short drive away. Neuschwanstein castle only a 40minute drive away if you want to see the castle that inspired the Disney logo.

If you open the fridge, you have a fiiling that there died some animal, not for food. Best thing it was hole in the wall, where you can see out of the apt. and it was not possible to cover somehow. It was fck cold inside, because od this hole. The kitchen is unusable, I don't understand how they can rent it without cleaning, they leave a used fork there. Bathroom, same story, dirty, dust and mold. Go away from here. [12:18] Orecny Peter Nothing was good. I can only say, go away from here or do not make a reservation here. This apt. is really only for animal. Location, not good, problem with the parking. Not internet conection.
