This family-friendly hotel features free gym access. It has a private entrance to the popular Legoland® Billund Theme Park, open between the end of March until October. Location was great! 5 minutes to/from the airport, just across the street from LEGOland, and a short walk to the Lego House. The hotel was themed wonderfully with lots of activities for the kids (kid zones, playgrounds, daily contests, Legos to play with everywhere!), the staff was so friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and cozy. The breakfast had a lot of variety and even accommodated my husband’s gluten-free diet. Housekeeping came daily.

Travelers who stayed in Billund near Billund Airport (BLL) have said good things about LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, Hotel Legoland, and The Lodge Billund.
Absolute Lego Heaven for our 7yo son. Especially the Lego House, which was pure, undiluted Lego awesomeness. Legoland, by comparison, is a generic park underneath with Lego-ness bolted on - with the exception of Miniland and a few specific rides, a lot of it could be any theme park. Had we had more than 2 days we would have investigated the Wow Park and other local attractions. As we were traveling by public transport we regretted not finding out about the free Billund shuttle bus service until we were leaving. Would have saved us a long walk down to the Lego House. It would have been great to have hire bikes to get around - lots of excellent cycle paths.
Billund was a great location for a second Danish experience. The town is on the small side, but there are a lot of places where you can have fun time with your kids. There are the logical choices like Legoland and Lego House. But you can also find different themed playgrounds, you have the Sculpture park, there is an adventure park not far from the city. So you can have your pick on activities.. especially outdoor interactive activities. We walked around the city - you do not need a car/bus. Maybe if you can get a bike, the distances will seem shorter. We ate at different locations. We liked the afternoon buffet from Pirates Inn Motel - it was an all-you-can-eat type of buffet and they had great food for an affordable price.
Accomodation - I stayed in the Billund BnB a short distance away from the large city. Excellent accommodation if you've got a car! Legoland is a must see if you visit Billund. You can easily spend the day here going on all the rides and checking out all the exhibits. If you go in the off season, the lines are only about 5-10 minutes so you can complete the whole park in a day (without children). Go to the Billund Bageri for breakfast - prices are reasonable and the food is amazing with tons of selection. Before entering Legoland, head to the ABC Lavpris and pick up some snacks- the prices for food in Legoland are brutal! For dinner, there aren't many authentic Danish options. All the restaurants cater to children, so the menus are not special. I chose to go to Timeout Billund and it was yummy and affordable. If you're looking to explore other parts of Denmark, take the 912X bus to Aarhus for the day. It's a larger city with a more cultured feel. If you want to stay in Billund, I'd say spend a day at Lalandia.
We spend a day in Lego House and Legoland. I think that 2-3hours are enough for a faster day out in Lego House. That was 5stars. Legoland ticket office was terrible, we stand to queue and approx. 7-8people were forerun of us, and wait for 35min to have our ticket. Purchase your ticket in advance!!!
We visited for the Lego House and a flight out the following morning. We did have a meal at the Gastropub which we would recommend. Billund is small enough to get around on foot and the transportation from the bus terminal to the airport is adequate.
When in Billund, you have to be spending time at the various theme parks etc. The town itself, even though obviously rich and high scale, has very little to offer in terms of leisure. We found it eerily deserted most of the time. However, it is a must for Lego fans, but you already knew that. Just make sure all your days are filled with things to do (Lallandia is always a nice place to spend time - and money).
Billund
We stayed in Denmark for two weeks and this place was our favorite. The property is absolutely gorgeous, the staff treat you like family, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. If you or your family like horses, wine around the campfire, good company, bouncing on a trampoline, playing with a huge Lego collection, wondering through beautiful gardens, or just hanging out on your front porch drinking your morning coffee, then this is the place for you. Lars, Annika, and Inge couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Tusind tak!
Superb location less than a 5 minute walk to Legoland, staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is very well maintained and breakfast was included which was very nice also.Thw centre if Billund is only a 15 minute walk through a beautiful nature reserve. Very reasonably priced compared to the lego hotels. Hotel is only 5 minutes away on a bus from the airport which cost £46 Krone for 2 adults.
Billund
Beautiful surroundings, clean and cozy apartment, very kind host who helped us arrange a cheap transfer to Legoland (a classic taxi from the airport was 3x more expensive, the driver asked us which way should he go even though it was our first time in Billund and didn’t return a proper amout of cash - okay that was my bad that I trusted him).
Perfect solution for Legoland / Lego House, just a few minutes drive away. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the place was in great condition, clean, well equipped. the small play area for kids, outdoor barbecue area and forest walk are a great addition. Option to do laundry (for a reasonable fee) was very helpful!
Billund
Very nice. Cozy apartment in a quiet area of Billund. About 10-15 minutes walk till Legoland. Not being right next to Legoland, it gives you the opportunity to discover a small and charming Danish town. About the host, Thomas, what can I say ..... as others have said here, a very nice and helpful person. :)
Billund
Quiet cabin surrounded by pretty nature. We spotted rabbits. Attractions are very near, walking distance to Legoland, and we also walked to Lego House (30 minutes). It is also very close to the airport with free shuttle. The cabin was very clean and spacious. Very nice wooden playgrounds for kids.
Perfect hotel for lego fans as this hotel is build around lego theme. There is a bus station in front of the hotel and it's close to lego house and across the street from legoland. The breakfast was great and my son really loved the room and kids zone. The stuff was very helpful and nice.
Billund
It is a great location, near Legoland and Billund centre. The staff is superfriendly, the playground is great for the kids and the animals are fantastic. We loved the lama and the ostrisch!
Convenient to the airport and city buses. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was larger than average. Check-in and check-out were easy.
