The property is beautiful, quiet, and private, an oasis. Online photos did not do the property justice. Staff were friendly and helpful at every encounter. Each evening, they lit a fire in our room and placed a hot water bottle between the sheets to warm our bed. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The hotel property is gorgeous and delightful to walk around and see the large organic garden, monastery, and landscaped grounds. There are also a range of hiking trails/options directly from the hotel. Easy driving distance to Otavalo, Condor Park, Laguna Cuicocha, etc.

Hotel Medina Del Lago features a fitness center, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Otavalo. This 5-star hotel offers room service, a concierge service and free WiFi.

The proximity to the airport was great but then we discovered how close by and interesting the town was with all the little shops and ceviche restaurants. The grounds and pool were lovely. Our hosts were the best!

About 25 minutes drive from Quito’s airport. Exactly what we needed to relax and reorganize after time in the Amazon. Location is right on the main road, so it’s easy to walk to restaurants and markets for food to cook in the beautiful apartment kitchen. But also the location of the apartment is set back from the road, so the setting is quiet and private. Beautiful gardens, lovely apartment and a friendly host, Vicente. Thank you, Vicente!

This place is amazing, we absolutely loved it. It’s set in a beautiful, enclosed green garden. The rooms are huge, beautifully designed and the bed deliciously comfortable. It’s spotlessly clean and situated out of the town in a beautiful, peaceful, indigenous area. The host Veronica could not have been any more inviting and helpful if she tried. She was adorable. She served us a delicious, healthy breakfast in the morning. Do not waste your time staying in the city, definitely come out here and enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful place.
