There is no better place to stay than here. When we arrived in Tena, we realized one of our phones were left on the bus with no way to track it. We were later contacted by someone who demanded ransom. The owners of the hotel took almost 2 days of their time to help us get it back, driving around town to track it down and confronting the thieves. Thanks to them we can continue our trip. On top of this, we got a free upgrade to a bigger room. The lodge is a paradise with amazing nature, clean pool and warm jacuzzi, great food in the restaurant and amazing day-trips arranged by the hotel. A true wow-experience during the whole stay. The rooms are exactly how you want them in the Amazon. Do not miss this place! Easy to get there and back. Regular bus traffic right outside the facilities.

The unit is comfortable, light and airy. The aesthetic inside is white, clean and northern/Scandinavian. The whole unit -- bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and patio -- feels brand new. It's attached to the main house but has its own entrance and faces away from the main house at 90 degrees, toward the garden, so feels private. The large patio has views onto the garden and jungly nature. The location is pretty and peaceful, just outside the town of Tena ('the gateway to the Amazon'). It's a large, green lot surrounded by trees and exotic birds such as oropendolas. With the directions that Alex provided, it was easy to find. You turn off the road and drive up a small lane. There's a large gate into the property, and a parking space for guests within the gated area. There are three friendly dogs, plus active roosters and chickens. The German hosts, Alex and Christiane, are very friendly and speak excellent English. Christiane prepared a fantastic breakfast ($6 extra), with fresh-baked rolls, fresh local fruit, dried meats, cheese, nuts, and fried eggs. Also gingerbread (it was Christmas). It's probably the best breakfast we've ever had at an Airbnb. Really exceptional. There was also a bodum with pre-ground coffee in the kitchenette. We'll definitely return the next time we're in Tena. Thanks, Alex and Christiane!

Beautiful property off the main road.

Beautiful property off the main road. Only there for one night on our way down to Cuenca. Would have liked to stay longer and enjoy the pool area. Breakfast was phenomenal! Tim also gave us invaluable information regarding our planned drive down to Cuenca which almost certainly saved us from a much longer and potentially disastrous travel day.

The apartment was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. When I sent some requests to the owner via booking, we did not get any answer, but the communication with whatsapp was pretty efficient. The information in booking is a bit confusing because it says one double bed, however the apartment has 3 bedrooms, 2 of them with double bed and one with a bunk bed. If we go back to Tena, we will book this apartment once again.

We stopped in Tena for two nights and the hostel was able to sort us out with a guide for a day adventure at short notice. We had a fantastic tour of Laguna Kawana with Fausto, who was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the plants and animals. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning.
