Comfortable and spacy room, and although the windows lead to the big square, it was quiet inside. The room has a lot of space for your stuff (cabinets, small table, chair, small sofa), the bathroom was extremely spacy with hot shower. Wi-Fi was very fast. The hotel is monitored with a lot of cameras and locked during all day.

Cuenca is a beautiful City with friendly people and diverse Cultures and very inexpensive for foreigners. It was a breeze for me to ask for directions etc in their own language because my phone GPS was Not working properly. The city is well designed and easy to get around walking, taxis, and a train running from downtown to the airport There are lots of restaurants downtown and the best quality chocolate you can buy. There is a large community of international long term visitors, and retirees willing to step in and help if you find yourself lost. I can’t wait to visit again soon, it was a pleasure for sure.

If one likes being overly contaminated by automobile exhaust fumes from 7AM until 7 PM even while sitting in the park in the center or the city and if one does not object to a city which favors tourists over protecting the natural environment, it is a great Cuenca is a good place to spend a few days.

Lovely South American city, very historic. 3-4 days is enough if you're just touristing. Restaurants and bars galore. People were tolerant to wonderful about tourists--although one man literally hissed at me at the bus station. Hotels in the Old City are convenient for sight-seeing--but get one on on a side street. I loved my room at Hotel del Parque, but it was really loud. Get something about 1-3 blocks from Plaza Calderon. Easy to get around, excellent public transport and cheap taxis.

Wonderful colonial city in the Sierra, amazing buildings, well-kept and clean, very nice, friendly people. You don’t need a car while there. The city tour bus is a great way to start. I recommend staying at least 2 days. If you can go to Cajas National Park or the Ingapirca Arqueological site, you will be adding great visits to your Cuenca trip.

Plus, on my first day, we all came together to make a delicious family lunch—definitely one of the highlights of my stay. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The staff was incredible. They were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was nice and there is free coffee/tea/water refills. The inner dining courtyard is lovely and the hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the main square and Cathedral. We extended our stay from 2 to 4 nights because the value for money is excellent compared to some other hotels in Cuenca. Cuenca itself is a beautiful city and well worth exploring.
