The location was perfect for us. We wanted a peaceful getaway with a pool for the kids. The view from the hotel is breath-taking. From the pool, you look out over a terrace of fruit trees to spectacular rolling hills and mountains. There is silence except for the sound of cowbells in the distance. The room was immaculate and the food in the restaurant was top class. The village is rural and authentic with working farms and and pretty gardens.

If you’re in the area, you need to stay here. The hosts were so welcoming and polite. The bedroom was absolutely wonderful, with a window overlooking flowers and the garden. The house itself is idyllic: rural location, a huge garden, stunning guest lounge, and I had breakfast on the terrace looking out onto a 3000ft mountain and the valley below. This is one of the prettiest, most relaxing places I’ve ever stayed and my only regret was, because I was on a cycling tour, I could only be here one night. It’s a steep hill up from the town, but still close and several restaurants and a supermarket available.
