AustraliaThis is a magnificently and tastefully renovated historical Convent that offers very private and well-appointed rooms. My wife and I had a wonderful overnight there and enjoyed a nice dinner under the stars at the restaurant. Walking around the hotel and enjoying all the various aspects of the building was very pleasant. I would highly recommend Hotel Convento.

GibraltarWe didn’t have the breakfast. Drinks were great and well priced. We had dinner, staff was great, meal was good but slightly on the high side for what we had. Location is great if you are just seeking some down time and relaxing time, pool was fantastic. Not much to do in the town.

Alajar is a beautiful, remote Spanish village.
Alajar is a beautiful, remote Spanish village. A few local grocery shops and bars. A great base to go hiking from. Hardly anywhere to eat in the evenings though. We had a great evening meal at Posada de San Marcos where Lucy really looked after us and sorted out our transport for the following days' hike.

Lovely breakfast, friendly and helpful owners, excellent food served every evening, and Saturday evenings are particularly fabulous with entertainment, music and gorgeous food and wine! Our room was beautiful and spacious with chairs and a fireplace as well as a super comfy large bed. The hotel is in a very quiet area so you would want a car to get here and to get around - the roads, some are quite steep and most bend and twist, but they are very good roads surface-wise so no worries at all and with fabulous views all around.

In the heart of Alájar. Traditional local house. The help Camino gave us was exceptional. She helped us to book a New Year’s Eve meal and gave us updates on local events. Although the property stated there was no WiFi, she went out of her way to obtain a WiFi connection for us from another property for the duration of our stay.

We had a fantastic week here in June. Very quiet and relaxing, but with plenty to keep the children (ages 2 and 5) occupied. Easy walk into Alajar even for the children. Cottage was clean with everything we needed. Hosts were very friendly and always on hand with recommendations. We can't wait to return.

Great location in Alajar, a charming white pueblo in the Sierra de Aracena. Gorgeous area with fantastic walking. Lucy and Angel are great hosts. Their home cooked food was probably the best we've had on this trip. Great local beers and wine. Delicious local ham and meat products. This is a high end B&B.
