This was by far our best value place we stayed and it is brand new so everything was in perfect/new condition! The space is small but has pretty much everything you need for sleeping and cooking. Kitchen has everything you need and brand new equipment, plates, cutlery, etc—they pretty much thought of everything you would need to prep and cook a meal. Amazing shower with plenty of hot water, counter space for toiletries, hooks, etc. Bed was comfortable. Sofa bed was fine; no complaints. The host was proactive in providing the self-check-in information. This was the easiest and most straightforward self-checkin process we had for all apartment rentals in our 3-week road trip through Spain. You can park on the street right outside of the apartment. Very safe and plenty of space to park. You can walk up the hill to restaurants (slim choices for dining in winter so don’t expect fancy; just basic fare). The grocery store and fruteria has very basic things. The grocer was sold out of eggs (but we bought dome at the fruteria), and we bought their last loaf of fresh, decent bread. If coming from any bigger ciity or town or stopping in Robda before coming here, you may want to get groceries there before arriving in Arandale. You are only a 15-20 minute drive away from Caminito Del Rey if you are planning around a visit there. We wished we’d timed it better to also check out the neolithic cave tour in Arandale during our visit—next time! We would not hesitate staying here or recommending this apartment to anyone else!

Ardales was a surprise highlight of our trip.

Ardales was a surprise highlight of our trip. We stayed to visit the Caminito del Rey but the town itself is lovely - a very pretty and steep white village. Parking is easy. We missed the caves nearby but they sounded cool. There is a nice lake which is near the entrance to Caminito del Rey where you can bathe and hire pedalos and canoes. We went in the church at the top of the hill and a really nice man was there to tell us the interesting history of Ardales - it was a great opportunity to practice our Spanish! We didn’t eat in the restaurants, they looked quite basic but had a lively feel with locals sitting out in the evening. A really nice atmosphere.

Everything was stressless from meeting the owner with the key and following him to accommodation..to finding everything we needed for our stay..the village was 20mins walk two minutes drive and a nice plaza for taking in the local atmosphere..

Plenty of room for two couples. The kitchen was well equipped and the pool a real treat. The villa has a wonderful outside space with lots of areas to sit and relax and take in the beautiful views. The location was perfect for us as it was peaceful but close enough to the village of Ardales to be able to walk (15 mins) or drive (5 mins). We liked the style and ambiance of the villa and the plants and trees around the outside areas. Great attention to detail like bottles of water on arrival which helps you to settle in.

Friendly and utilitarian hostal close to ardales paleolithic centre, neanderthal cave and caminito. The restaurant is popular with local trades people and provides excellent andalusian breakfasts and great value menu del dia. The rooms are basic and clean. Ours had a large terrace overlooking the allotments and river.

The apartment was modern with all good facilities and the terrace was large with great views of the hills. We especially liked the modern heating system as in January it can be cold in Ardales. Thank you also for organising a taxi to take us to and back to the Caminito Del Rey

Right in the centre of the sleepy village of Ardales with limited meal options but we enjoyed Restaurante Café Bar La Guinda. The apartment was large and comfortable with a sunny balcony with stunning views over the valley. The apartment takes up the whole of the third floor.
