This hotel has been recently renovated and is pristine. The location, about a mile from the historic centre, was perfect for us to incorporate an evening walk. The pool and gardens are still being finished, but there is no noise from the work. Breakfast is exceptional, with freshly squeezed orange juice and good coffee. I expect the prices will increase once this exceptional hotel becomes established, so take advantage of these rates!

FAQs about hotels in Baeza

What guests said about Baeza:

Baeza is a really pretty town in the Province of Jaen.

Baeza is a really pretty town in the Province of Jaen. It has a lovely town square with restaurants and shops. The Cathedral or Basilica is fascinating and well worth a visit. There are tour and olive oil tastings. Its a lovely town to wander around for a couple of days. It has a really long and interesting history. We went onto the city of Ubeda for the day, which is another beautiful fascinating city with a long and chequered history. We went in July and it was very hot. Quite a few of the restaurants were closed, (mid week) or shut for a week for staff holidays. I think it might be better in the October when its not as hot and after the olive harvest.

We loved that we were not overwhelmed with tourists and the town was very beautiful. We had a meal in the old square and every drink was accompanied with a free tapas. Prices were very reasonable . Be prepared to practice your Spanish , highly recommend you walk around the town and visit the cathedral. We went up to the tower which has great views of the town and the olive groves. If you like olive oil this is the place to visit. Many lovely shops selling quality olive oil.

A very interesting old town.

A very interesting old town. Most buildings are from the 17th and 18th centuries. The streets give a sense of what life might have been like then. There are also very impressive views from the old walls over the surrounding olive groves.

Currently the town centre is undergoing major refurbishment work, making the lovely central square a building site. But the town has many excellent restaurants, and the local people are very friendly and welcoming. There is little else to do or see in the surrounding area, as this is the centre of the olive oil production, with millions of trees as far as the eye can see in every direction. The nearest other town is Ubeda but in our opinion, Baeza is more pedestrian friendly and is more historically interesting. The tourist train is a very pleasant way to see the town.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived in to Baeza.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived in to Baeza. We were there for two full days & soaked up all of the history whilst walking easily around the town. The staff in the information centre were extremely helpful as was the staff member in the Bullring. Its a photographers paradise! We had breakfast at the hotel but there are plenty of cafes to choose from to eat and drink. There is an amazing little cake shop / cafe / bar directly opposite the San Pablo church definitley worth a try! The first night we ate at La Barberia near to the cathedral. The staff were very informative and full of life and the food was delicious. Very relaxing. The second night we had a reservation at Alejandrea but sadly they had to cancel due to staff illness. However we did have drinks and tapas earlier in the afternoon at this place, the service was excellent and the tapas were delicious even accommodating me being vegetarian. There are plenty of lovely hotels close by to amenities and monuments. Top tip wear comfortable walking shoes.

This is a great studio apartment - comfortable, well- equipped, and spotlessly clean. It is also superbly located, just a few steps from everything Baeza has to offer. Communication with the host was excellent, and both her welcome on arrival and helpfulness assisting with departure arrangements were outstanding. The building has been sympathetically renovated and converted, with a great deal of thought and care clearly having gone into the project. The availability of outdoor seating areas is also a plus.

Staff did their best to accommodate us despite we were the only room occupied at the time. Very unusual. The breakfast buffet was filled to accommodate mote guests. Later we found out that we were the only guests that day. Parking is challenging due to the central location. They have a parking nearby and it is possible to use the hotel parking to (un)load your luggage. It is a great central location. I would love to return.

A very spacious apartment, living room, bedrooms and kitchen. Great location in the old town so easy to see the oldest parts of Baeza and views over the Callie’s and mountains. Parking might be a problem but there was space in the free public parking less than 10 minutes walk away.
