La Casa del Maestro de Música offers accommodations in the center of Baeza, an Andalusian town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003, for its many examples of Italian Renaissance... The location was great for seeing the town and it was easy to find parking on the main road which made it nice to get in and out of town by car. Baeza
Located in Baeza in the Andalucía region, "Ventana del Guadalquivir " has a patio and garden views. The air-conditioned accommodations is 24 mi from Bailén. There was clear communication with Maria beforehand. She was awaiting us and showed us the appartment which exceeded our expectations. What a view! And very centrally located, next to the ancient part of Baeza. A superb restaurant (Taberna Casa Andrés - highly recommended) two blocks away. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to an accident - l have highly appreciated the empathy María has showed. Thank you!

A superb compact Medieval town with much influenced by Italian Rennaissance architecture. I wish we could have stayed another day longer! Unfortunately we only had time to walk around for three ghours as we had to meet up in Madrid that evening and therefore no chance to taste the local fare!
While Baeza has a beautiful historic center, it also has a great "ruta de tapas", usually in February. We have visited specifically to enjoy the tapas at the great little bars in town many times.
The historic part of town is breathtaking, with the cathedral as the focus. Fantastic views of the mountains and great walks into the countryside. The town has plenty of shops for all needs. It is quite hilly but manageable. I loved Baeza and would recommend it highly.
We used Baeza as an overnight stop on a long distance journey. We had the afternoon the explore the old Town and then have dinner. When we first walked into town it was about 4pm and still Siesta. It was wonderful to see it wake up and people emerge from everywhere and become quite busy as locals greeted each other etc. Then it started to settle around 10pm as it got dark. It was a great community with a wonderful soul.
The old town of Baeza very interesting. A must is to visit an Olive factory. Not just a museum. The scenery from the city towards the mountains is breathtaking looking at the numerous olive trees. We ate in our hotel’s cafe/bar Paco Bar which was always busy and the choice of food/tapas excellent. Easy to walk around Baeza but not suitable for a wheelchair as many cobbled streets.
Most of the sights were in easy walking distance, enjoyed my walk around the Plaza Santa Maria and my tour of the Cathedral. Most of the restaurants were along the Plaza del Poulo which is a good place to eat or have a coffee and watch the world go by. Most restaurants had plenty customers in them. Baeza was a very nice place to stay, certainly be returning
