Offering stunning views of the ocean and the Cies Islands, Hotel Rompeolas is located 328 feet from La Conchera Beach. The hotel is only 5 minutes’ walk from Baiona’s old town. The breakfast was fine, continental. The hotel's location was, for me, perfect. A little way out of town, but an easy enough walk, with a great view. My room had a view of the castle, the islands, and a beach.

Baiona is a lovely city, perfect for a short break. Enough to keep you occupied for a couple of days and fantastic restaurants and bars for the evenings. For a special treat stay at the Parador or value for money lovely friendly, clean 2 star hotel Rompeolas. For great food head for the restaurant El Corralito.
Good facilities in the town and lots to do in the surrounding area. Would recommend hiring bikes from La Pedaleria - excellent bikes and very good value and lovely to ride along the flat cycle route stopping off at the beautiful beaches. Santiago is beautiful and well worth visiting for the day. Also beautiful mountains and we found some lovely mountain pools to swim in.
The Virxe da Rocha and the views from there are a must! The Fortaleza and the route are great, and so is the Castle! You can also go for a walk to the riverfront and enjoy the sea breeze and a fantastic view of the sea. The old city has very nice bars and restaurants, although barely any vegetarian options! If the weather is nice there are many nice beaches around, but if it isn't you can still stroll around and have fun at the bars and restaurants!
A beautiful and nicely kept windswept coastal town along the Atlantic ocean. Nice and friendly people, used to visitors because of the Portuguese Camino passing through by now. Good food. Clean environment. Traveling south towards Portugal you traverse one of the most beautiful rural coastal roads. Just magical.
I've been to Baiona twice for work and enjoyed it very much both times - I'd love to go back on holiday to enjoy it properly! The beaches are clean and look very inviting. The back streets house numerous tapas bars and drinking bars and we enjoyed eating and drinking in that area every night! Very friendly people and welcoming atmosphere.
This is a really nice town, with beach, promenade and castle wall walks for all. The local restaurants offer plenty of variety. Spanish people only accept the best quality food so tourist restaurants offer high quality food at acceptable prices. The best time to eat is 2 to 3 pm and/or after 8:30 pm. Baiona is blessed with a maritime history second to none from Columbus's discoveries to Drake the pirate; a history which is well presented as one walks around.
It is always a pleasure to stay in one of the Spain's Paradores. I'd strongly recommend Baiona to anyone.
