Benidorm exceeded my expectations. I think personally I went at the right time, after the school holidays so the hotel had no families or children running riot. The beaches are spotless, the promenade lovely. Plenty of bars to just chill or party at. Fantastic live entertainment to suit everyone, bars are not overpriced. It is possible to have a relaxing stay in Benidorm and avoid the party hotspots but equally go all out party mode....brace yourself for that! I went with girlfriends and mixed our weekend trip with staying at a nice hotel with a spa at the Ambassador Playa 1, vineyard tour at Bodega Mendoza, Drag Show at Kafee Klee, partying until the early hours through numerous bars, sunbathing and shopping in the old town. It is easy to find a nice place to eat but worth a google in advance. Taxis are really easy to get, particularly from our hotel. All in all a great place to visit and I will go back again sometime.

When I drove into the resort my thoughts were " Oh my...
When I drove into the resort my thoughts were " Oh my goodness where have I come to?". However once we got to the seafront I was really pleasantly surprised. The beaches were all amazing and clean, the sea was beautiful. There is a stunning promenade where you can walk or cycle for miles. I am 54 and enjoyed one mad night in the bars around the Levante Beach side of the resort but after that I was really happy to stay in the Old Town which is still really bustling but more Spanish and family orientated.

Benidorm is chock-full of tourists, shopping and mediocre restaurants along a crowded beachfront. The sea has a lot of brown crud in the water but it was warm. Multiple British pubs and restaurants serving English breakfasts make it clear whose tastes the town is catering to - pity really… I didn’t come all the way to Spain to eat crappy English food 🙄 Benidorm is not my kind of place but the one positive thing was the wonderful Castillo Benidorm hotel we stayed at (which served an excellent non-English breakfast!) and where the service was top notch!

A place like no other, so much to see and do, lovey beach, old town, promenade and harbour. So many bars and restaurants to choose from whether you want something cheap and cheerful or something nicer and more scenic. So much entertainment in the new town if you want it or a quieter night in old town.

There was a great variety for breakfast (self service), including lots of fresh fruit. The bedroom had lots of storage and a good array of facilities (TV, mini fridge, Aircon, safe) and the bathroom was modern, clean and bright with an excellent and spacious walk-in shower

This property is exceptional. Right on the beach and the views from the lovely balcony are the best you will get. The apartment is spotlessly clean with great facilities, everything you need and more. The beds are the so comfy, the best we have encountered on holidays. There is a supermarket, chemist, restaurant and bars on your door step. It is a short walk to the old town and new town, but still incredibly quite. We cannot wait to return in the future.

Location is fantastic. We had a room with a sea view balcony very comfortable and clean. Hotel Cimbel is the perfect location for the beach, restaurants and is easily walkable into the old town. Hotel has private parking for a fee but well worth it for a few nights stay. This hotel is one of my favourites in Benidorm.
