The hotel is in the city center. Our room had a view of the fountain and the main square. Although the room was 15m2, every meter was functional, and we had absolutely everything we needed. I have never seen such good sound insulation! The room smells for hours after cleaning. The hotel is surrounded by sights in a radius of 1 km, and for a couple of other attractions, there are city bus lines around the main square that drive you for 1.5 euros. You have to go to the beach by bus.

As the city that brought paella to the world, Valencia is a culinary delight. Sipping fresh, local orange juice, whilst enjoying tasty tapas in a pavement café, is not to be missed.
Wandering this relaxed city is like taking a walk through history. From the Roman remains in the archaeological museum to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture ranges from the dramatic to the sublime. A mix of styles from the outside, medieval Valencia Cathedral comes into its own inside. The gilt carvings and vibrantly-painted dome are a sight to behold.
The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.
Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.
As Spain’s 3rd largest city, Valencia has wild nightlife, so if that’s your cup of tea, city centre hostels are a great choice. Alternatively, Booking.com also offers guest houses, central apartments and even hotels near Valencia Airport.
I have been in Valencia a couple of times and I must confess I was impressed by the beauty of that city. It's a pleasure watching the architectures of the buildings and walking the streets of the center until you get lost.
Sightseeing excellent especially both the area of modern architecture and the Old Town buildings. Most sights within easy walking. Open Top Bus Tour provides a good tour of the main attractions. Suggest buy the 48 hour ticket. Only 2 euros more than 24 hours. Market is spectacular. History of Silk is a particularly interesting feature of the city's history. Oceanographic is a must see visit as is City of Arts and Sciences
I've been to Valencia four times and I always have a wonderful time. It has the best of both worlds, a nice, wide beach to relax in the sun and also an old town to explore for days. Over the years more restaurants of different world cuisines opened, so the options are numerous. I usually go for Spanish restaurants as I love their food and where best to try it if not here, but there are also many exceptional Italian and Japanese restaurants. The city is very clean and even though there are tourists, it is not overwhelming like Barcelona during the summer. My favourite part is the City of Arts and Sciences - every time I pass by I just cannot not stop and admite the beauty of it and how even though it's a modern space and completely different from the rest of the city, it just fits so well and it's kept so clean all the time. I feel like over the years, Valencia also turned into a cycling city. There are many shops where you can rent a bike for the whole day for a cheap rate and there is a bike lane throughout the whole city, so it is safe to ride it. If you are planning on some day trips around the city, I'd recommend going to the Albufera national park, the core of rice fields and paella restaurant, to spend a day exploring the nature and eating good food.
Taking an apartment is a complete hit, because we are thus free to organize our own time. Our goal was to visit all the places recommended by other visitors, to swim in the sea. Reach as many places as possible on foot and enjoy nature and people.
Beautiful city with so much to explore and a nearby beach for a different sort of day too. Bike hire easy and great for exploring further afield. Metro system cheap & easy to get out to beach/football stadium etc. Abundance of restaurants/bars etc to choose from. Would thoroughly recommend.
Very nice Spanish city for a few days. Not as big as Madrid and Barcelona, but plenty of things to see and do. The beaches are rather far away from the centre and the city is quite touristy (a bit too much for my liking)
