Lovely position in small, quiet village, great position to drive around Rioja wine region from. Hotel very modern, in a converted old palace on the river bank. Restaurant food very good.
Hospedería Señorío de Briñas is a charming historical palace in the heart of the Rioja region. It has a small spa. Great location. Very pet friendly. Fabulous room. Hotel was perfect full of ambiance. Staff so friendly. Everything very COVID safe, very clean and all guidelines followed perfectly.
This charming, family-run hotel is in the center of the La Rioja region, with views of the vineyards and town of Briñas. It offers simple rooms with a balcony. Hotel was really quirky and set in lovely surroundings in the prime Rioja growing region. There is a wine museum attached to the hotel which sadly I couldn’t visit as arrived late and departed early next day. Hotel was very comfortable and offered an exceptional set e course meal in the restaurant for €12 per person including bottle of wine and bottle of water. Portions are quite big, and quite frankly I probably should have stopped after the starter, but it was all so nice, I just kept going..... Hotel also has an outlet selling a vast selection of wines to the public with prices starting at €4 per bottle (we took the liberty of purchasing 6 bottles). The lady who served me polished each bottle and boxed these up with care
Offering rustic-style décor and free Wi-Fi, Casa Rural de Legarda is located in Briñas, in Rioja Alta. This cozy guest house is 35 minutes by car from Logroño and Vitoria. The property is simply amazing, cozy, beautiful, all you could want for a Wine Route. We loved it!
Torre de Briñas - Private Resort is located in Briñas and offers an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a shared lounge. Good location. High level finish and comfort. The manager (Nuria?) was exceptional. Friendly, prepared a lovely snack dinner even though we arrived late in the evening. And made us feel comfortable and welcome, including our dogs. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Located in Haro, Apartamentos La Herradura Terraza features accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. The property has city views and is 19 mi from Ezcaray. It is a very pretty apartment. We felt very well there and enjoyed our stay. You find everything you need in the apartment, like kitchen things, fridge, a wine fridge and even a bottle of wine!! The beds are comfortable!! They have Netflix! The terrace is the cherry on the cake. We booked 30 min before arriving and they still did their best to come as soon as possible and let us in. The location is also very good! Haro is very cute and the wineries around are definitely worth a visit. We didn't really want to leave!
We've visited Brinas several times now and have seen it change over the years. It used to be a sleepy local town, but it has become more attractive to tourists and the choice of hotels has increased. The local bars are still good to visit though and the local people are great
A good place to use as a base for a couple of days to visit the Rioja region. It has a few good walks from there, a good one being to Haro along the river. The restaurant in town was excellent and worthy of a visit
It’s a lovely little village and a couple of central bars and one central restaurant all were good, although the restaurant was expensive. The waitress who looked after us on both times that we used the restaurant was excellent. The restaurant and a private house both sold the local wines and we purchased from both. The village is very close - 10 min drive to Haro where there are a number of bodegas, restaurants etc.
Brinas is a beautiful village not far from Haro. Well worth the visit if you are in that area. The many Bodegas supply amazing wines. With only two resteraunts (and one not open during the week) you are limited to where you can eat, but the food was amazing.
It really IS the gateway to Rioja. Brings is a tiny village but it has 2 bars (no tapas) plus a bar/restaurant with an amazing bargirl/waitress called Helena who looked after us, introduced us to an amazing white rioja (whose bodega we then visited) & walked us through a great dégustation de rouges.....all for on average €1/glass. Superbe. Even the two other bars, full of locals, tv or kids blaring in the background were worth a visit not least for déguster the local rioja, which the locals drink, at 70 cents/glass or 26€/case of 12 bouteilles. Don't get me wrong, it's not for breaking open when you're entertaining BUT it is for opening (always refrigerated) chez vous with a jar of olives, particularly when your friends or neighbours nip round. We always buy 2 cases of 12 (i.e. €50) although you need to drink it all within the year. Not a problem chez nous! We avoid motorways whenever possible, and therefore the tolls, so the additional savings in hotel bills means that we can buy 1 or 2 cases of really good Rioja almost for nothing.
It was near to the rioja wine region. We went to the Muga wine museum all though I couldn't go in as they did not allow dogs. The area was very picturesque but it was difficult to find anywhere to eat outside so we could take the dog. No night life. Not for the young at heart.
