Perfectly equipped apartments, seems recently renovated. The apartment had a terrace with beautiful views of the Alpujarra mountains. The owner was very friendly, respectful and easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful weekend in Bubión would repeat it for sure! Great hiking area.

We had the Junior Suite, roomy, comfy, excellent balcony, comfy bed. Wifi only worked for me on the balcony, not in the room. My husband had a European sim card, and data worked in the room. Staff is friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast excellent and reasonably priced. They do a picnic lunch too. There is a pool that looks very well maintained. I used it once after a hot hike and it was super refreshing, but is not heated. The property is beautiful and it was a lovely place to stay. We stayed 5 nights.

Our stay was wonderful! The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite, always ready to assist. The mountain view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, and the property is very kids-friendly. Our child especially enjoyed the natural surroundings and felt right at home in the room. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing getaway!

Stunning location with expansive mountain and sky views. Fabulous sunrise, sunset and starlit skies. Lovely hotel. We were upgraded to the suite which was a nice touch. Excellent dining and bar area. Inside and outside options. Francisco was a first class host and nothing was too much trouble. His evening meal was delicious. Although it was closed the pool and pool area look as if they are a nice addition.

Bubion does not get bus loads of tourists like the two larger villages either side of it, but it is equally attractive. The small back streets are well worth exploring. There is good walking in the area.

Bubion is a spectacular village high up in the mountains...

Bubion is a spectacular village high up in the mountains with spectacular views all round. Walking round the village was a great experience with traditional narrow streets and houses. People were very friendly and there are some great traditional shops. Lots of bars and restaurants around and the food was fantastic. If you are out of season not all the bars and restaurants are open.

Bubion is the most authentic of the four towns we visited (...

Bubion is the most authentic of the four towns we visited (Pampaneira, Capileira, and Trevelez were the other ones). It tries to retain the feeling of the town it was originally, with the residents still tending their gardens and their livestock. It is not invaded by tourists in the same way Pampaneira and Capileira are--no tourist buses stop there. Yes, there is less to do, but more peace and quiet, for sure. I appreciate the fact that this town still has lots of locals who clearly care for it and have been there a long time. If you want lots of shopping, restaurants, bars, and entertainment, Bubion is NOT your town. If, on the other hand, you want peace, quiet, and the sense that you are in a real town with lots of history, you will love it.

Bubión is lovely and full of traditional character.

Bubión is lovely and full of traditional character. We visited in February when it was -2 to 12 deg C. Remember it is 4,000 feet in altitude, so much colder than on the nearby Costa del Sol. There are well-signposted trails between Bubión and the neighbouring villages and viewpoints. There is a good supermarket. It is quite important that you can speak some Spanish.

Bubion is between two Spanish Villages so makes it a great...

Bubion is between two Spanish Villages so makes it a great area to do a three villages walk all off road with plenty of drink and food stops. Ticks all the boxes if you like walking running cycling great shops restaurants people watching or just relaxing with a glass of wine.

Gorgeous apartment. Very spacious with great facilities. Lovely location on the edge of Bubion - the least touristy of the three villages in this part of the high Alpujarras. Brilliant stay.
