Found a lovely place to eat Pinchos (tapas) very nice and not far from the hotel. The city is beautiful with so many buildings of architectural interest. Only staying one night whilst travelling through Spain was not enough time to appreciate everything the hotel had to offer.

We went to Burgos for the Cathedral and were not disappointed. The City centre is pedestrianised so it was easy to stroll around and find good tapas bars. There is a riverside park which must be lovely in the Summer.

Burgos is an historic city, still with lots of lovely buildings. It is quite small, so easy to get around. The centre is partly pedestrianised, has lots of restaurants, bars, squares and parks so is very tourist-friendly. The cathedral is splendid but not really to my taste. The new Museum of the Evolution of Man shows off the recent local discoveries of prehistoric hominids which are by far the oldest in Europe. But it's aimed at adults, especially Spanish-speakers, not so much families. Burgos celebrates its most famous son - El Cid - and being on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

I liked the old town, its plethora of Romanesque churches and the Cathedral. I really liked the museum that was opposite our accommodation in Calle Miranda. For just one euro one can see artifacts from celt-iberian peoples, Greek, Roman and Spanish Medieval. All this is housed in a 15th century residence of a Canon from the Cathedral. There was some great places to eat. I highly recommend Cerveceria 100 Montitos.

    Amazing cathedral.

Amazing cathedral. Lovely walks along the tree lined promenades next to the river. Very helpful people. Train station a long way from centre. unless you know exactly which bus and which stop you want it is probably easier to travel by taxi but obviously a lot more expensive.

I had the king size room that was very nice. There was even a telephone in the bathroom. That's sort of the dividing line for me about whether a hotel is fancier or not. I also had an exceptional dinner in their restaurant and the waiter was the very best I've ever had. He was just so nice and friendly and professional. Top notch. It's close to the cathedral, just walk across the street and there it is, so the location is great. Again if I didn't mind spending the money.

The location was great. 10 minutes walk to the centre of Burgos. The room was good and clean with everything we needed and the bed was very big. But the best thing were the staff, really friendly and helpful. They looked after our luggage when we had checked out so that we could have a final walk around the city. I know that every hotel does that but they were so nice and a credit to the hotel. I would absolutely stay here again next time we come to Burgos.

The owner, Davide (I hope it`s written like this) is a great character, Very nice and helpful. The bedroom has a good space. The location is good, if you understand that Burgos train station is a bit far from the old city. So, this hostal is near to the train station. If you, like me, hates to take bus or taxi to go to the hotel, Numancia Pension is one of the few options near the train station.

We have stayed at Hotel Maria Luisa many times when in Burgos. Location is good and about a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral/Plaza Mayor area with many bars and restaurants. Best of all, the hotel has parking available (for a fee) in the car park across the street. A modest breakfast buffet is served at a reasonable price. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
