Burgos is small enough to walk round but large enough to spend several days in. The view over the cathedral from the castle hill is unmissable. The historic churches are treasure houses of medieval art. There are pleasant walks and parks and a choice of reasonably priced places to eat. Only downside: the historic centre is hard to access by car, be prepared to take a bus or walk in

Fantastic city steeped in history.
Fantastic city steeped in history. People are friendly and helpful. Good bus service but taxis are very reasonable - worth a visit - on the Camino de Santiago. This is »real » Spain in the heart of the Basque region.

We stayed for two nights just outside of Burgos.
We stayed for two nights just outside of Burgos. We went for dinner on a Saturday evening in the centre. We were spoilt for choice with restaurants however, I would recommend booking. It’s a lively place with plenty to see and do; shops, restaurants, bars and architecture. There was a great atmosphere, I wished we could’ve stayed longer.

Burgos is a beautiful city.
Burgos is a beautiful city. I walked the Camino in 2022 and stayed 2 nights but only discovered on the second day that one of its specialities is ROAST LAMB . Restaurants opened too late for me to try it because we were leaving early next morning to walk before it got too hot.
I swore to go back one day. This was the time and I ate the roast lamb and loved it.
A city of beautiful churches, food, bars, shops. Well Worth visiting

At first it seemed that Burgos only offered its magnificent cathedral as all the town had for tourists to visit, but after walking the entire town, I found a few more beautiful old churches and even a museum, some lovely nature to explore, and, best of all, a wonderful green-food café that served a variety of delicious vegan options, great matcha lattes, and very good salads.
I highly recommend visiting Burgos!

The hotel is located just outside the pedestrianised heart of the city, it took us 10 minutes to walk there.
We were met by extremely helpful staff who guided us to the underground car park.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, our room was clean and airy, the public areas bright and welcoming and the breakfast was superb.
Burgos is an interesting city with many lovely buildings and its not short of bars and restaurants. Well worth a visit and perfect for an overnight stop heading south.
Had to stop over for three days from Camino to attend an online job interview.
Staff were EXTREMELY accomodating in helping me to set this up, and I passed that interview stage successfully. THANKS GUYS!!!!
Apart from that, supernice rooms, a very pleasant bar for late-night reading, and an amazing breakfast.
10/10 best hotel in Burgos.
A really well positioned hotel for travelling by road. Excellent facilities for eating from a simple cafeteria to a luxury restaurant. The most comfortable bed ever, in a large, spacious room. Spotlessly clean.
Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Burgos. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Receptionist was super helpful. Other staff, very pleasant. Exceptional value for money.
