Set in the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone, this guest house is located in Castellfollit de la Roca. It offers a restaurant serving traditional Catalan dishes of the area and free Wi-Fi throughout. The place is very cosy homey. Breakfast is great, service is wonderful. Overall, fantastic experience.
Located in Castellfollit de la Roca, Cala Clareta features accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast has river views and is 20 mi from Camprodon. Spotlessly clean room and breakfast area. Loved the style too! The balcony over the cliff was a great sunny breakfast spot. Absolutely loved the peaceful, quiet, and scenic location! Judith gave us great tips for hiking and exploring the area. The town, Castellfollit de la Roca, has a few great restaurants (including a pizza place that used delicious French cheese) and a bakery that we enjoyed. We easily could’ve spent the entire week hiking and exploring around Castellfollit de la Roca, but the location also made a great jumping off point for day trips to Cap del Creus, Croscat and Santa Margarida volcanoes, and even Andorra. We loved it!
Cinglera de Castellfollit is located in Castellfollit de la Roca. The property has mountain and river views. This home is very comfortable, the calefacción kept it very warm. The location is amazing, I spent much of my time looking out the window or walking to the vista just a few steps away.
Set in Castellfollit de la Roca, 20 mi from Camprodon, Cal Mestre - Apartament 4 pax. 1er pis offers a garden and free WiFi. Very spacious and charming apartment, right in the center of castellfollit de la roca, next to the square and the central cafe. The balcony and the garden are open and quiet and the neighborhood is very friendly. Claudia, the hostess, was a loving person who left us immediately at ease, familiarizing us with what there was to do nearby.
Located in Castellfollit de la Roca, Ca la Rita provides accommodations with a patio and free WiFi. The apartment features river views and is 20 mi from Camprodon. The owner was very friendly and helpful to make our stay in the Garrotxa area excellent. The appartment offered a lot of space (3 bedrooms, big living room, kitchen, bathroom,...) , it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed. At night it was silent (you could hear the small river in the Valley behind the building ) and the parking was right around the corner.
Offering a picturesque setting and fantastic views of Castellfollit cliff, this charming guest house is located between Castellfollit de la Roca and Montagut, at the entrance of La Garrotxa Volcanic... Was a wonderful time. The staff couldn't be better. The food was exquisite .
There is not much to do in this sleepy little town. It is probably best for an hour's time, and not much more. There is some scenery and a viewpoint for taking pictures of this scenic town, but it looks best from the outside (not the inside). What is worse is that there is very little open in this town. I stayed at Ca La Paula, which supposedly has a great restaurant, but they decided not to open for dinner. In fact, it was difficult to find places to eat/ drink. I happened upon "Bar El Pub", which turned out to have great croquettes (large variety and tasty!). But this is the rare positive place of this town. Other things I found open was the muffin shop, Cal Tuset (in the morning), and a coffee shop (C'an Roc). Other advertised places in this town were closed. Plainly speaking, this town is good for a few photographs (and maybe some excellent, inexpensive croquettes) and not much more.
Spending the overnight in Castellfollit was a bit disappointing. The village is charming, however nothing much is there to do. The cold cuts museum is closed down, the small town brewery owner didn’t want to open its doors that night. Other two good restaurants don’t open at night. The Church’s tower is not open during the week for visitors... They don’t seem impressed by tourists and apparently are happy not to increase their business with them. Or perhaps it is just the end of season.
Only a small village so no need to stay longer than one night but great scenery and in a lovely setting. The hotel Fonda Ca La Paula does very nice, good value food but in the evenings, it’s restaurant is only open to it’s guests.
Very spacious, rustic, clean, and functional. Exactly what we were looking for.
