Wonderful sister lodging further down the valley in village. Would have happily stayed there too. Breakfast delivered in a basket but all the facilities too available. The river beach - amazing

Very peaceful and the restaurant was quite good (bacalhau was exceptional), which is important since the place is not near any other places to buy food. The Lugar dos Devas is a place you want to stay to get away from it all and it is a lovely place to do just that.

I stayed at Eido do Rei, Hospedaxe Rural after a festival, seeking a quiet place to rest, and what I found was a small sanctuary of peace, comfort, and unexpected kindness. Cristina and her husband welcomed me with care and made sure I felt completely at ease from the moment I arrived. They explained how everything worked, including the thoughtful gesture of freely available fruit and coffee in the kitchen, little details that show how much they value their guests' well-being. Although I had the place entirely to myself, I never once felt overlooked. Quite the opposite: my breakfast table had been carefully prepared in advance, and even though I left the room well after the usual breakfast time, they waited patiently for me, no pressure, no rush, just quiet generosity and a genuine desire to make me feel comfortable. The house itself has everything you could need, with every amenity thought out, but it’s this calm, respectful hospitality that truly stayed with me. A rare place where silence and care coexist beautifully. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a pause.

A peaceful spot surrounded by greenery, perfect for walks or...

A peaceful spot surrounded by greenery, perfect for walks or short drives. The food is good and plentiful almost everywhere you go. Having a car is a plus, as you can easily take day trips to places like the Mondariz Spa, Tui, or even Portugal, and then return to the tranquility of La Rectoral. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, cool and very pleasant room. Relaxation and tranquility surrounded by nature. A perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the peace and quiet without sacrificing excellent quality services and facilities.

What I liked most was the natural surroundings.

What I liked most was the natural surroundings. I loved the Maceira river beach, where we stumbled upon a beautifully restored sawmill that's usually closed, and the many swimming spots in the various rivers we discovered on our hikes. The village bar serves delicious and very inexpensive food. And the people are lovely, always willing to help.
