I loved El Arenal. Stunning and clean beaches. Crystal waters. Full of shops and restaurants, so it's a nice walk. I would advise to start going from Mid May as we had bad weather the first three days of our holiday. Cafe del Sol restaurant, 1955 restaurant and Torrero Restaurant are absolutely great!

It's a party resort, we've been before in 2019, but it's lovely,they are doing lots of work to improve the area. It's close to Palma and has amazing beaches.That stretch of the coat is popular with Germans but makes it a great atmosphere. Nice cheap and cheerful Hotel...stayed before on several occasions ..does what it says on the Tin...nothing special, but clean tidy and helpful staff,......and wine from the bar OK for just 2 euros :)...my 2 year old grandson had no complaints :)...beach just 15 mins walk away for his little legs, but loved it.

There were plenty of places to eat and have coffee, the back streets were a bit rough looking but the promenade along the front was lovely. The food was not very cheap but not too expensive either if you chose carefully where you eat. All the staff at the coffee bars were friendly and not too pushy especially the 'Salsa' bar which had an hours free salsa dancing lessons on Saturday. It was only a 20 minute bus ride into Palma (on the express bus) and only 2 euros. The buses seemed to run quite late. Palma is a beautiful town but I'm glad we stayed out at El Arenal which had all the facilities but was a little quieter. I can imaging the beach in the warmer weather would be really nice.

The area around the hotel compared to nearby areas were not as clean and friendly. Of an evening you are constantly hounding with drugs sales and men walking alone are handed leaflets for a nearby brothel.
