A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. This is an elegant old home converted to a hotel and is brilliantly located at the end of the wonderful bridge at the entry to the old town. The front desk lady was so proud of the hotel and welcoming to us as well.

the hotel was delightful but we found the all-night church clock chimes a bit intrusive!

The unique atmosphere of the house is giving a welcoming and relaxing feeling, while encouraging some interaction with other guests, for example during the shared dinner. The whole place is very beautiful, no details are missed. Huge thanks to the staff who was very kind and made sure I had everything I needed. Even though I could be spending all my time by the pool, I also enjoyed the surrounding areas full of nature and great for hiking and bike rides.

I loved this hotel, very good quality-price ratio (we stayed in January). Beautiful area with mountain and hill views. Very quiet. Elegant hotel with lovely spa, friendly staff and nice restaurant (also good vegetarian options). Very dog friendly.

I really like the service, the people very nice. The dinner was really good a breakfast.. lovely place to stay
