Gandia city is some distance from the playa. The tourist information office on the Playa wasn't open until the last day of the visit (Sunday) , we found one halfway through the trip in Gandia City which was a bit too late, but was still helpful.
We loved the holliday her în Gandia. Good restaurants Îl Borsalino(italian) Greek restaurant. We was lucky as we saw fiesta în old Downtown with local streetfood and also a religious procession. One day we went to Cullera 8km away were it is a casele on the hill and you have a beautifull view of the bay
Gandia is a summer beach resort mainly used by the Spanish for their summer holidays. Having said that, all of the residents and tourists we encountered were polite and friendly to us. The restaurants were plentiful and got very busy after 9:30pm, so this being a bit late for my wife and myself we picked an earlier slot at about 8:30pm which gave us time to enjoy our meal in a somewhat quieter period. There are plenty of bars, cafes and souvenir shops, we managed to pretty much find exactly what we wanted after a few walks along the promenade. The old town of Gandia is about 5km away and made for an interesting day away from the resort. Be aware though that being the old town, Siesta was strictly observed.
I was in Gandia to start learning Spanish and found it ideal because the staff at the bars and restaurants I frequented spoke mainly Spanish. This was perfect for me as it made me use my small but growing Spanish vocabulary. I highly recommend visiting Gandia if you are a traveler like me who enjoys meeting and engaging with locals. The historic town center is great for people of all ages to explore on foot as it is flat. Historical landmarks such as Palau Ducal dels Borja de Gandia are well marked. Lots of shopping, drinking, and eating out options. I loved going out for an afternoon caña, 200 ml beer served in ice cold glasses with a side of olives. In general, the olives were complimentary at the small Cervecerías in the town center, while at the bigger beach bars one would have to order a snack. A very reliable and regular bus network with multi-trip passes that are cheaper than buying single tickets. Gandia also has its own train station from which one can go into Valencia City for around €11. We also found a fabulous Chiropracticioner right at the beach: Chiropractic, Carrer Armada Espanyola, 46730 Grau i Platja, València. Mauricio and his team are super friendly and helpful! I am already making plans for my next session when we go back to Gandia in August. One of our favourite places to eat was a local brasserie specialising in grilled food called Fuego Lento: Carrer de Jaume II, 46701 Gandia, Valencia. We went back several times in our 2-week stay. We will definitely be regular guests. For Spanish lessons, I took private lessons at Access English: Carrer Sant Pere, 9, 46702 Gandia in the center of town. I had a lovely teacher who exercised extreme patience and good humour during my lessons. Fabulous food, gorgeous beaches, interesting historical landmarks, and very friendly local people. All-in-all, well worth visiting... At least once! ;-)
Very nice organised the beach ,with showers and toilet, beautiful sand, entrance to the sea is gradual. Wide Promenade with palm tree, special bande for bicicles, I was impressed. If you like history you can visit Borgia Castel in the old town. We like it and definitely we will come again.
The beach here is typical Mediterranean, with cool waters and blue waters. However, it is clean and family oriented. People of all kinds and ages flock to the beach daily. Water and sand are clean. There are plenty of restaurants to satisfy any palate. I like it. (Parking is difficult, unless you want to keep your car in the underground garage.)
This is a really nice 3star hotel with a very central location in Gandia. Good sized room with a minibar and comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, even though it would be nice if the breakfastroom would be open before 8AM. Really nice with private parking space with direct access to the hotel. I would definately come back.
The house is enormous. It is only 2 of us so we only used 1 room out of 4! And the rooms are big! It is 2 minutes walk to the beach so it is very accessible. I guess most of the visitors come to Gandia by driving ( including us) so it should not be a problem to locate here.
Very cozy small hotel. When we arrived and had our first dinner in their backyard under the trees and night sky near the pool, we felt like in paradise. Very calm neighbourhood, attentive staff, comfortable room with a nice terrace, delicious breakfast and dinner.
Clean, comfortable hotel. Good breakfast. Two pools, one primarily for kids and one quieter. Both nice. Good location near great beach and lots of shops and restaurants and the beach promenade.
We had Awsome stay. Employees are great ,hard workers and They always ready for customers. Food and drinks are reasonable prices.Beach are very clean and beautiful walking paths
A great little hotel, such good value for money with great Amenities all around the area, shops, restaurants, fab beach front bars and one of the nicest beaches in Spain.
The staff is amazing. Don't miss the front terrace with ALIX, Sergio and Dens. Simply the best terrace in Gandia. Ask for a bonbon or a cremaet to end the evening
The meals (breakfast and dinner) were good and substantial. The pool area is nice and the location is really close to the beach.
the location is great, near the sea,it was the main reason to choose this hotel.moreover there are many nice places to eat nearby
Nice view, in front of the beach. Good breakfast but really crowded in the morning and restock of items took a long time
Good location (beach, restaurants, shops nearby), clean and comfortable room, really friendly and helpful staff.
Very good hotel, situated 100mts from the beach.very good value for money with friendly staff.
