Very nice and cozy house. Mar is lovely and very helpfull. The house is confortable and has got everything you'll need. We were here for work so we didn't spend a lot of time indoors. Itrabo is a nice village but with a lot of steps... nice exercise!

In general it was a very pleasant stay for 3 days. We liked the views and the cozy atmosphere at the restaurant. The hotel is located at a hilltop and has great views. Besides: Great prices at the minibar. Cleaning/beds made every day. Water bottle filled up everyday. Parking spaces were always available. Late/free check in was available (check first)

The hotel was booked at the last minute as a delayed flight into Malaga required a stopover en route to our final destination. Access by car is straightforward and (limited) parking is available just opposite the front door. There is lift access from street level for those with heavy baggage. The hotel is very bright, modern and immaculate, both in the public areas and the bedroom, which was fully equipped with all necessities including a clothes steamer for creases!. The bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom facilities first class with an extremely powerful shower. Customer service was exceptional, both on arrival and throughout our short one night stay. The owner made several recommendations for dining and we ate at an excellent Chiringuito he recommended, just two minutes from the front door. Breakfast can be taken on the front terrace and was also excellent. Almunecar was not on our "to do" list but I am glad we had the opportunity to experience the hospitality of this hotel and definitively plan to return for a longer stay in the future.

This was the first truly awful experience we have had after...

This was the first truly awful experience we have had after hundreds of bookings. On the night of arrival and the following day, the bathroom smelled extremely bad​, like you were living in sewage​, and the smell spread through the house, including the second floor. Wall tiles were barely holding in place and looked dangerous, especially for children, as they could fall at any time. There was also heavy mould on the stairway walls​, exactly where children naturally touch while walking up and down. However, the biggest problem was the host. The day after arrival she called me, raising her voice and accusing us of taking the wrong bedroom (one of three), even though we had a photo from our booking confirmation clearly showing the bedroom assigned to us. Although we booked the entire house, we only placed one suitcase in another ​badroom, assuming we had exclusive use and only needed one bedroom for two people. She then started shouting that we had taken over the kitchen and said that other guests would also be staying in the same house​ next day! We booked an entire house. There was absolutely no information that this would be shared accommodation. None of the bedrooms had secure locks​, how can strangers be accommodated safely with no locks on the rooms?​ We booked 100s of accommodations through Booking alone, I know what it looks like shared accommodation when you book. Because of this situation, we were forced to leave with my 10-year-old ​child and urgently find emergency accommodation. The host continued sending contradictory messages on WhatsApp and repeatedly deleting her own messages afterwards. In our opinion, this is a dangerous property that should not have a rental licence and should not be listed. We were also very disappointed that Booking.com did not provide ​any support and allowed this type of misleading accommodation to remain on the platform.
