United KingdomThe hotel was booked at the last minute as a delayed flight into Malaga required a stopover en route to our final destination. Access by car is straightforward and (limited) parking is available just opposite the front door. There is lift access from street level for those with heavy baggage.
The hotel is very bright, modern and immaculate, both in the public areas and the bedroom, which was fully equipped with all necessities including a clothes steamer for creases!. The bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom facilities first class with an extremely powerful shower.
Customer service was exceptional, both on arrival and throughout our short one night stay. The owner made several recommendations for dining and we ate at an excellent Chiringuito he recommended, just two minutes from the front door.
Breakfast can be taken on the front terrace and was also excellent.
Almunecar was not on our "to do" list but I am glad we had the opportunity to experience the hospitality of this hotel and definitively plan to return for a longer stay in the future.

We really enjoyed our time in Almuñécar.
We really enjoyed our time in Almuñécar. It has a lovely relaxed Spanish feel and was exactly the sort of place we were looking for – lively enough to have plenty to do, but without feeling overly touristy or commercialised.
There is a great choice of restaurants, tapas bars and beachside chiringuitos, and we had some really good meals during our stay. The seafront is lovely for an evening walk and there are plenty of different beaches and places to stop for a drink or something to eat.
We particularly liked the fact that Almuñécar still feels very Spanish and authentic. The old town is great to wander around, and the views from the higher parts of town and surrounding hills are fantastic.
The location is also excellent for exploring this part of the Costa Tropical, while Málaga and the airport are still within easy reach.
Overall, we thought Almuñécar was a great holiday destination – good food, lovely beaches, beautiful scenery and a relaxed atmosphere. We would definitely return.

Almuñécar offers a wonderful range of places to explore.
Almuñécar offers a wonderful range of places to explore. The beach stretches along the coast from Almuñécar to Salobreña, which is as far as we ventured. Just off the beach, you’ll find delightful shops, restaurants, and vibrant squares filled with entertainment and beautiful, illuminated trees.

We really enjoyed the hotel , we didn’t venture out as we needed to switch off for a few days.
The little bay in front of the hotel was lovely. When we left we drove to look at the area which was lovely, we didn’t realise it was there.

Restaurant Lucas attached to the apartment do nice meals and made us welcome, try the Taj Mahal Curry Restaurant, 150m left on main road, Beach is good with beds to rent, lovely market streets and designer shops.
Irish Bar called Mississippi for your Guinness and sport on TV.
Try the Aqua Park for a day.
Did not manage to view all the areas, but will visit again.

There is essential building work going on around part of the road/beach area, where new pipework is being fitted. However, this will soon be completed and did not hamper our experience

We loved to walk along the promenade, visiting the different beaches.
It's an excellent place for older adults, especially those with mobility issues, but probably not so good for children, because there is no sandy beach. There is a bus stop outside the hotel, which was very cheap at €1 a ride.

The room was perfect, a big bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. The balcony was a fun addition as well. The restaurant and the bar were magnificent, very nice staff and the Brutus beer was very tasty! Lots of facilities nearby and the beach was only a 5 minute walk. Only thing that would've been nice, is a mini fridge for some evening drinks when the restaurant is closed but it hasn't been a necessity.😊 Will definitely be back the next time I visit Almuñecar.. Definitely worth more than 2 stars in my opinion!

The hotel is fabulous, situated the farthest west of Almuñecar beach. It's in a very quiet location, which means that other than one other nearby restaurant, others are a walk or taxi ride away. Having said that the hotel has an excellent.kitchen.
Bring shoes and snorkels for getting in the sea.
Great views to sea and of Marina del Este.

We had a big, nice and comfortable room with a balcony on the quiet back side of the hotel.
There was a fridge but unfortunately no water brewer.
Breakfast was a fiest. They had all you could ask for.
If we come back to Almunecar we will stay here again.
