Laguardia
Located in Laguardia, 17 mi from Haro, Mayor 35 features a shared lounge and free WiFi. Hiking can be enjoyed nearby. The location could not be better, located in the heart of the beautiful town of Laguardia. Our room was perfect for what we needed in our weekend getaway and the balcony provided a lovely venue to relax in the beautiful summer weather with a bottle of Rioja and live music coming up from the square nearby. Our host, Contxi, was amazingly warm and helpful. She was incredibly patient with our amateur attempts and Spanish and gave us great recommendations for vineyards, sight-seeing, and even great history of the town and house, itself. She even gave us a tour of the cuevas under the house which used to be used for wine making centuries ago. While the tour at the nearby Casa Primicia is bigger, still operating, and provided a lot of history to the way the wine was made, it was great to see the more preserved cuevas under Mayor 35 for fuller context.

Featuring accommodations with a balcony, La Morada del Pintor is set in Laguardia. The property features city views and is 11 mi from Logroño. Alicia was highly responsive from start to end, giving instructions, meeting us at the streetside, assisting with restaurant and winery reservations. Fantastic host! Property was very central, within the town walls, and parking was nearby in a safe garage. Master bedroom was huge, with a nice bath area. 2nd and ground floor were a bit more of a squeeze. The kitchen was extremely well supplied with bread, cereals, fruit, drinks, milk, juice and wine. Really good for making breakfast. Highly recommended overall!

The town is a medieval, walled town, that is great to walk around in. It has plenty of bars and restaurants. Very close to the town are several bodegas that offer tours and tastings. We especially enjoyed Ysios because of the beautiful architecture.
Beautiful little town on a hill. Even on a Sunday there were a number of restaurants open - and I am sure it must be buzzing during the high season. Generally a lack of veggie options for food but El Hiruko provided some surprisingly good tapas.
This wine country region of Spain is a must. The town of LaGuardia was ancient and charming, one of the BEST wineries and only winery within the city walls was Fabulista!...its a must to tour and hear the history and their process of historic wine making. Did not get enough time here!!!
Find the town square and watch the clock.....make time to try the wines and enjoy the various bars and small tapas places. It is a small town with sandstone coloured buildings and many bars....what fun!
LaGuardia is a busy little place, with plenty of places to eat and drink. It's a good central location for visiting the La Rioja area. It's on a hill with lovely views of the valley and surrounding mountains/hills.
Laguardia is a very small hill town, a walled village. Very walkable - no cars allowed. Ancient - from 908 AD - with beautiful buildings and narrow, cobbled streets. The population is small, but the town is full of life with several hotels, restaurants, bars, bakeries, carnecerias, wine cellars and shopping. Nothing really fancy but just a beautiful, charming hill town. It's also well located for visiting wineries in the area.
Best service, best energy, best location, best suite, best taverna bar, a dream coming true.
Amazing place. Spectacular location, with great views. Full access to the grape fields.
