Comfortable room, great breakfast, bike friendly, helpful staff

The staff are really nice, great restaurant

The view from the window was delightful - mountains and a farm. We were awakened by the rooster in the morning :D The breakfast was a la carte, freshly made and delicious. We had Vermouth and nuts left in our room as a welcome gift. The staff was friendly. I accidentally left my earrings in the room and was comforted that they would be sent to me by mail.

Well the hotel is well situated on a main street, without parking facilities it was near impossible to find parking. There is a bus stop dierctly across tge street where we were able to park temporarily to unload but the we drove around and around for clise to an hour to find a spot, finally located behind a building in a paid parking lot. Honestly we weren’t sure it was safe but in the end the car was fine. The room was very basic, catering mainly to young adults on ski holidays. The mattresses were awful .. very soft and quite old and lavking support. There were no electrical outlets near the bed and there was no where to fix the hand shower to the wall. For dinner we went to a little pinchos local bar .. cheap and tasty.

This is my very first time in Spain. We are from Canada and were  traveling for a while in France.  We just arrived in Spain and spent the night in a charming local hotel. Hotel Restaurante Santa Elena is located in a rural area and it was not very easy to find. We stayed there one night and it was very cozy. The owners are father and son and they are very friendly. I am glad that the first Spanish person I met was Daniel. He and his father made our stay unforgettable. The next morning Dani made breakfast for us. It was very pleasant to stay in a hotel with a smile. Kindness and friendliness are the signature of the hotel. Spain started for me when I met Dani. What a great start.
